I can't believe he even got appeals. They should have made that part of his plea, no appeals. He did it, there is proof, he shoudl rot in jail forever or die. He chose jail. What else did he think would happen when he took an innocent boys life?

I have to say one more thing...

Yvette, you do deserve to be here, it is not your fault what happened. Please don't ever feel you are worthless, there are way too many people that love you.

Yvette is one amazing young woman! For her to say that she would have given anything to trade places with Zac, lets me know she is truly a wonderful human being. That rotten bastard should have suffered the way he made them suffer. Death penalty is too easy, murderers should be tortured and then killed the way they have. I am so sick of these monsters hurting innocent people and their families.

I cried for Zach tonight. I got depressed for having such a cruel co-humans but then it warmed my heart that around this big world there exist such a great people. I respect deeply you the great mother, you the nice sister and I kiss your hand Yvette! Thank you all for being so nice. Your beauty cleans up the ugliness such monsters create!

I agree with all the lovely postings about these good people and the horrible thing that happened to them. I am, however, uncomfortable with victims having a say in plea agreements. That is for the judicial system to decide. To permit citizens to decide the fates of convicted criminals is to not only empower them beyond the purview of the law, but to burden them with responsibility they should not bear.

Such a wonderful story from the most horrific of crimes. I'm glad the victims were able to find some kind of peace and criminal has not. I was against the plea deal but now as it turns out the criminal has the rest of his life to regret agreeing to it.

My heart goes out to Yvette and Zach's family. They have suffered through this with such strength, bravery and grace and I am not sure that I could do the same thing in their situation. They have not let this destroy them which is maybe the best punishment the "man" who did this can receive.

I have already forgotten this so called human beings name who committed this senseless act. He does not deserve to be remembered.

What a stark contrast between Yvette (beautiful strong loving humble spirit) and the shooter Jorge (cowardly evil). People like Jorge make me lose faith in humankind, but thank goodness there are people like Yvette and Zach's family who restore my faith in humankind.

The look on the brother's face while in court can break my heart. I feel so bad for Zack and his family they did not deserve all this. Yvette is such a strong woman. May God bless both families in abundance.
