Guilty. Guilty. Did I mention that he's guilty? Wow, what a disgusting human being- if he can even be considered such. You have 3 women who are the victims of his domestic abuse, but according to him in one way or another they are all lying.
That woman didn't deserve to die, but she did need to speak up or remove herself from the relationship. I feel badly for the family who now have to live without her in their lives, but it could have been avoided. He is a monster and she should have gotten the heck out of there the moment she purchased that first camera and took that first account of his abuse.

No woman deserves to be hit. Let that coward rot in prison- it is where he belongs...

At the ripe age of 47 I found what appeared to be the perfect match for me in a 52 year old man. I had been single and raising 2 daughters on my own for 22 years. And I do mean single. My daughters were out on their own and it was finally time for me. It is awful to be so happy and in love, only to have a very fit and very strong man put me in hell. With a very successful career, beautiful home, money in the bank, I must have been the perfect victim. He was very bright, good looking and a real charmer to everyone he met. People constantly said what a nice looking, happy couple we were. In these convoluted relationships, it takes time to be able to get out. This man moved into my house. Paid nothing. I was trapped and scared for my life. Over the next 18 months I received numerous black eyes, a broken wrist, a busted lip that required 2 surgeries, knots on my head, hair pulled out, shaken, head beat against wall, sexually abused, on and on. This man would have killed me eventually. Yet, I was so scared to ask him to leave my house. Frightened beyond measure. VERY recently I got him out. Well, most of his possessions out. Of course he left some items behind until he gets a new place... or just to keep control of me in his eyes. Even being a single woman with two small children, I never felt the need for a security system. Was never scared before. Now, at 49, living alone in my house, I has activated and installed a security system out of fear he may break in. It is awful that this happened. I am obviously a stronger luckier woman than Cathy in this story. Cathy with grown daughters of her own. Bless those young ladies.

What amazes me in so many of these "48 Hours" shows--that the murderers can lie so calmly soon after the murder. I would be shaking like a leaf !!!

Yes, he would have been convicted, because he lied about his whereabouts.

If he was trying to aid his wife during the 911 call, he would have had some blood on him.

Too bad to sad the ladies life was ended during a brutal crime, just because someone wanted her dead.

I can't believe 48 hours ended this story saying "How can a strong woman with friends family, and money end up a victim of domestic violence." My God...isn't this what the show was all about. It happens to many women...you don't have to be a woman with no friends, family, or broke to end up a victim of domestic violence. If you are a woman with no friends, family, or money you surely don't deserve to be a victim of domestic violence, nor do you if you have every thing. This is one of the main reasons women do not speak up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People cast an image of an abused woman which is false!!!!!

Let me see, she meets this broke con-man on line, marries him less than a year later and now she's dead. I'm so not surprised.

I have to admit, for the first 5 minutes, or up until they showed him react to the statement that he could have killed his wife, I was believing him. Then the arrogant devil popped his ugly head out for all to see.

This remorseless freak was making me sick with his crockadile tears and his: "I won't rest until the man who killed my lovely wife is caught and put to death" bull sh**.

Absolutely he would still be guilty, even if he hadn't of testified. The only thing left is HIS execution.

This is not a humorous subject, so forgive me if I sound like I am making light of it. You see, I have
been the lucky recipient of domestic violence, where I received a nose job compliments of his fists, hair removal thanks to his lighter, and weight loss due to a broken jaw. He too was a 'soul mate' (he actually meant 'sole' like in the sole of his shoes kicking me). Another man who feigns utter
indignation and shock at the accusations, has a reasonable explanation and minimizes his actions, reversing the role so he is the down trodden one. An absolute charmer. I am so
sickened by the fact that this woman was stabbed 31 times and this person makes light of it and
says the phone records are incorrect! I thank God that police don't catch and release spouse beaters anymore. I only wish that we could get to the abused ones before they are killed. I pray
for the daughters to find peace and I will be praying for them each year on the day they lost their
mother and praying for all who have died so needlessly in such a horrifying way.
