I'm soo glad they caught crazy eyed coptess:) But either way, their is a God & no one 'gets away' all that is done in secret will one day come to light. I hope this gave closure to the family to see this evil woman brought to some measure of justice.

He should have been an advocate for Sherri? How about he should have been a advocate "AGAINST THE COPS"... Do you know what happens when you ACCUSE A COP? Get real! The best thing to do is exactly what he did... FADE OFF! Watch the first 3 minutes, you will hear the words SHOCKING, SHOCKWAVE, BOMBSHELL, NO WAY..... She was not investigated even tho John told them, why wasn't she investigated? Because shes a COP...and COPS do NOT do WRONG in this country! Get real America! Wake up! She knew exactly how to pull off a crime like this because she is a COP, and she KNOWS what they use to catch people!

Lazurus has THE craziest eyes! While you cannot convict someone because of "beady" or manic eyes --- her crazed expression reveals how hate-driven and mentally off-balanced she was and probably still is. To think she was a law officer is beyond frightening.

Ruetten bears, at least, moral responsibility for the murder of his wife because he maintained sexual contact with Lazurus during his engagement. How disgusting is it he felt no compunction to *actively* assist the L.A. detectives in the search for a vicious killer/the vicious killers? The term "gutless wonder" epitomizes him because of his lack of participation in his wife's murder investigation.

Lazurus has finally gotten what she deserved twenty+ years ago. What a relief she has finally been convicted of Rasmussen's murder.

Her extreme body language while asked if she ever knew the victim is so revelatory. I doubt if any innocent person would react like that when asked if they knew of someone. There would be almost no body language at all, just eye movements. As for a cop arresting another cop, even a murderer, I doubt if that's as rare as the broadcast suggests. I would think it's reasonably common, though obviously not a daily occurrence. There are many instances of cops arrested for narcotics and offenses of that sort; in fact 48 Hours has shown some episodes even recently. I wish the issue of contaminated DNA that her lawyer brought up would have been pursued more. Even if the DNA was not stored correctly what are the chances that of Lazarus, the one cop whom circumstantial evidence connects to the crime, would be just the DNA that would contaminate the evidence. Doesn't make sense. The chances of that happening are as astronomical as the chances of DNA matching in the first place. But then that's what defense lawyers are supposed to say.

There would have been no need for DNA technology, had the detectives persisted with her, some slip up of a concocted alibi would have incriminated her then and there.

Lazarus is so guilty, I just know it. And john is just a coward in every way possible. Poor Shery, she lost her life for nothing essentially.

I am really annoyed at how this case, has been handled by the police 23 years back. Stephanie Lazarus is guilty! All the evidence point to her, and i am annoyed with John for cheating the poor girl before marrying her...he is a coward and i can't believe they just keep marrying...the defence lawyer has to get his facts right even though he is defending a liar!!Well done dectectives for bringing the case back!
