The only "N" word -- that be accepted.
But in THIS CASE -- matching the society's
*Selfish
*Overemotional
Attitude problem.

NARCISSISM.
(equalling) SELF-CENTERED

Regarding the N-Word: Is it ever okay to say it? I feel that Miss Weiss misses the point. She misses the point due to the fact that the young man is the only African American student in her class. She is not responsible for a teachable moment that renders even one of her students uncomfortable. I was in the same position as an adult student in Graduate school taught by a European born Professor. I was the only Black student in the class, sitting up front when the Professor made a derogatory remark regarding African American teenagers. Needless to say, I also felt similar to the young student of Miss Weiss's class. Miss Weiss's voice is soft toned. However, her message is clear, in the pursuit of teaching an obviously controversal novel, she does not mind sacrificing the only African American student's reaction and feelings. He becomes the sacrificial lamb without apology or sensitivity of purpose.
