President Obama has done more to fix the US economy and international relations as well as taking out OBL this past week-end. His leadership is truly needed and warranted no matter what the Republican/TEA party say. We need to back him and get out the vote for Democrats! Granted President Obama has not done anything about immigration, but bear in mind he has been held in check by the Republican leadership during the last Congress and now also by the TEA party. The Democratic party had the "Dream Act" awaiting passage only to be stymied by the GOP. IT WAS NOT PRESIDENT OBAMA WHO SHOT DOWN THE DREAM ACT, IT WAS THE GOP! The 47% who rate the Democrats favorably is more than double the 21% who rate the Republican Party as doing a good job of reaching out. Its important to gather all the fact about both parties and assess past and present practices concerning Hispanics. The GOP would throw the lower and middle class under the bus as well as immigrants of Hispanic decent. To all Latino/Hispanics of voting age in America, Vote you conscience this coming year and let the apples fall where they may. You can't scream if you don't vote!

The courage and expertise they have in combating terrorism is monumental. The Abbottanagar mission is unparellel in the history of America and the world as well. It was like watching a movie " Guns of Navarone"!

There is a saying, for every thing time should be ripe ! Yes; there was enormous data available, and President collected some more to do the job which was very badly needed. What he orchestrated is a great and risky and tough decision which will defeat his worst critics. Some one has made a remark, that it is not good enough to be a professor ; one has to have the Army General's heart to combat the terrorist attacks. It is not that easy...
Sir, you made them wrong. In your mission, every thing worked and the luck also was in your favour.
The clock work precision by the American army, The timings, The White house strategy advising team, The Good will of the American people and their blessings, above all God's grace was in your favour !

I assume this is why he only played 9 holes of golf. He could not wait until 18 to find out if they got Bin Laden.

A fascinating piece, but I take exception at this period being described as the most critical of his presidency. Yes, he made a very personal decision to put people in harm's way - and there were ostensibly-practical benefits to be won if the mission succeeded, and huge liabilities if it failed. But for as instrumental as UBL may have been in perpetrating the 9/11 attacks, his death is a footnote in the ongoing devolution of the global society and our nation's defense against it - as she devolves herself.

President Obama is presiding over a point of criticality in American history when, for the first time, the specter of unlimited borrowing potential or unlimited amounts of future are being bartered-away to keep the wheels turning from one day to the next. Which is a greater existential threat to America - UBL, or a Presidential administration and Congress that serves only itself by proclaiming the need to cut spending - but only the spending that benefits somebody ELSE.

Even despite that impractical impossibility, the government expresses as a core value that the burden of the government's debt and its future obligation should fall SOLELY upon the shoulders of a minority - while the majority bear virtually none. We tax not out of principle but necessity. The so-called "wealthy" will bear a disproportionate burden only because they must, not because should.

And so the government perpetuates a class-divisive society of de facto beneficiaries and the benefactors. The same kind of moral hazard government circumvented in its bailouts of Wall Street and Detroit have been removed from society as a whole by elected officials who can pledge to their core constituencies "YOU won't pay - this is all about getting somebody else to pay MORE, whether or not they can or should."

The so-called "leadership" can't muster itself to enforce among America the simplest of core virtues - that each person owns his $45K share of the $14T national debt - whether or not he can actually pay it, and anybody who contributes less to the government than his pro-rated share of its funding has absolutely NO business demanding anything. Unfortunately, even this basic common sense value is perverted into "the wealthy" wanting to oppress "the poor".

We, as a society have chosen to provide certain "safety nets" that extend well beyond the founding fathers' intent. And it was exactly those founding fathers who placed at the center of the U.S. Constitution a Bill of Rights to ensure that populist sentiment couldn't become mob rule by majority. The notion that certain people can and should be able to receive social support from government ("government" being only what its citizens fund) is not mutually exclusive to the fact that simply imposing one group's wants upon another is precisely the kind of oppressions that caused the Colonies to break free from English rule.

"Freedom" is not the ability to do as one pleases. People can't fly like birds or live to 1,000 years - no matter how much they may desire to do so. "Freedom" is the guarantee that nobody will be subjected to having another's will imposed upon them. This is the ONLY kind of freedom that's possible - and it's precisely what our nation was created to ensure.

And the very first person(s) who'd allege this applies any LESS to one person than an other(s) should be the first person(s) to forfeit the very rights to which they believe they're entitled without any burden of the responsibilities upon which they're predicated.

So, Mr. President, as you've entered your re-election bid, congratulations for choosing the correct option of those presented to you. That's your job - and I expect nothing less. Now, rather than attributing any more significance to UBL's death than just one more agenda item crossed-off the national agenda for the day, I'd like to think your attention will return toward the clearer, more present dangers America faces.

Interesting that they say they were monitoring the raid from the SitRoom, but nobody will say how they were doing that... Adds to the mystery of these heroes we know as SEAL Team 6, I guess. Excellent job by them, the President's crew, and a great interview.
