Herman Cain: Debate wasn't a bust, "longshot doesn't discourage me"

CBS News politics correspondent Jan Crawford spoke with former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain after the first Republican presidential debate Thursday night in South Carolina. A Fox News focus group concluded Cain came out on top against Tim Pawlenty, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum. Cain told Crawford he resonates with voters because they can understand him.

- I did not know Cain before the debate. Now I am a Cain supporter. I am glad that all the has beens were not there. Going into the debate, I was complaining that we had no real candidates. Trump is a three ring circus joke, the others ran last time and lost, and Ron Paul and the like would do more damage than Obama. I was so glad to hear what Cain had to say. Now we have a real candidate for 2012.
