I am a cynic when it comes to professional athletes. I normally pass on social opportunities to walk across a room to meet them. I would make an exception for Mr. Pujols and I have a feeling that he might actually appreciate it. This story and Mr. Pujols is good for the soul.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Every professional athlete who is a bad boy, a diva, or who has fallen from grace wish they had a fraction of this man's character. Unbelievable!

Since I assumed this was going to be the kind of "Athlete Worship" story we Americans seem so easily impressed with (full of stats, records, and undue praise), I honestly hesitated before watching it. Oh my goodness, I'm so glad I didn't pass this story by. What a lesson in humility and character. What a beautiful, admirable way to live life. What an inspiration! When I came back from Iraq they called us heros; this man here - Mr. Pujols- he is a real hero. Thank you so much for this story!

Thank you Draggan Mihailovich, for producing this story. Albert Pujols is truly a role model and you revealed it to us expertly with an even-handedness that so much journalism lacks these days. I was surprised as my emotions overcame me at the end of the piece, feeling very grateful that there are people out there like Albert.

As a Saint Louisan, I am very proud to have Albert as a part of our community. As a father, I am even prouder to have him as an example for my two sons.

In a world seeming to have gone mad, your coverage of Albert Pujols is the most beautiful story I have seen in a very long time. He is truly a hero for the ages, an angel come to earth, and the greatest role model for youngsters! Your story on Albert made me cry and as my husband wandered in and caught the last of the story, he also cried, a tough Vietnam veteran! Mr. Pujols is the most beautiful person I have heard about in a very long time....I think Mother Teresa was the last one. God bless him and his family!
