I thought the segment was fabulous. More stories should be done on programs like this one. Everyday I watch the news and hear horrible stories about teens and violence. However, you do not hear enough stories about the wonderful people like the musical director. All children need mentors in their lives. Mentors do not have to be parents. They can be preachers, pastors, aunts, uncles, or just a loving person.

As a young child from the Bronx, New York, my father inspired me to be a doctor. Arthur Mitchell of the Dance Theater of Harlem inspired me to dance like my cousins who danced with him. Lastly, the director of the Premedical Research Prep Program at Barnard College inspired me to do great things with my life.

Currently, I will be getting my BSN from George Mason University and will attend graduate school in the Fall of 2012.

Great broadcast. I have always loved 60 minutes.

Sincerely,
