KEEPING IT THOUGHTFULLY HONEST: JUST CONNECTING THE DOTS AND THE CLASS WAR ON CHILDREN with Republican policies! The Liar, Rep. Kevin McCarthy from Bakersfield, the Republican leader that is number 3 on the political campaign money-taking list for services rendered continues to lie and distort facts that " Democrats would have to explain their opposition to the GOP plan after Obama and his allies on Capitol Hill agreed two years ago to extend tax breaks across all income levels." However, the Congressional record, Huffington Post and Senator Sander, documents that on Friday, December 10, 2010, on a trade-off between the President and Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy House republicans that had held a combo hostage, the continuing of unemployment benefits for thousands of needy Americans that lost their job to Outsourced jobs to Chinas as well as the setting a terrible precedent to divert money away from our Social Security Trust Fund to threaten its future! This to pay the republican's RANSON to give their billionaires and Millionaires continued extension of Bush tax cuts to add another 1.3 Trillion in national debt in order to trade for these 2 hostages' issues. Further, The Huffington Post reports that five noted economists interviewed stated "that the GOP 30 job bills package contributes NO meaningful impact on job creation in the near term," nor "likely to do much in the long term, either," but obstructed the President's Job Bill for the past year, meanwhile 12.5 Million unemployed American families have been surviving, many homeless! http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-gop-tax-cuts-20120728,0,5136053.story THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH: A Powerful must see 60 minutes documents what our country's politician's irresponsible and shameful policies are affecting our beautiful children's future and their unemployed parents! A sad but real and continuing tragedy! "NEVER HAS UNEMPLOYMENT BEEN SO HIGH for so long, and as a result, more than 16 million kids are living in poverty" in the United States, Scott Pelley reported tonight in his piece "Hard Times Generation." But we Middle Class Americans will remember YOUR shameful and disgraceful continuing republican policies in November!

Let's keep in mind that it's not only Casselberry Elementary School children that were interviewed here. It is ALL of Seminole County! I live in Sanford. Some of these kids go to Millenium Middle School, Seminole High School, Midway Elementary, Sanford Middle School, Forest City Elementary and all of Seminole county folks. My daughter personally knows two of the children in this video. It is very real. donate here Please do something positive and help children. There are many deserving 501c3 charities in our community in Central Florida and in all communities.

Donations can be made to the Families in Transition Program at Seminole County Public Schools by visiting this site: http://www.scps.k12.fl.us/title1/Home/FamiliesinTransition.aspx

Help children. Donate food, school supplies, clothing, back packs, shoes, donate a used car, an empty room, grocery store gift cards ... the needs are endless! Any public school has a homeless liaison and I'm sure they will happily accept your donations.

How can we help the Bravermen's? My daughter has gone to school with Jacob since 3rd grade. She was wondering what happened to him when he stopped attending the same middle school unaware of the circumstances. Does anyone know how I can get in touch or help this family?

Thank you 60 Minutes for the wonderful reporting on children living in cars, etc.
I have not been able to stop thinking about the Metger family and in particular, the young 15 year old. She was simply amazing. Tonight I learned that because of your report, that young lady and her brother have been offered a full scholarship to college.
Wonderful job CBS - 60 Minutes!!!!!

Miles of Help Through Christ has been going to the streets and woods in Orlando, we need to help those in need, this problem is tearing up families. We are a small ministry but gfo to the streets every two weeks, we just celebrated our biggest event of the year. We need to draw good God loving folks who have a generous heart to serve these individuals. remember not everyone who is homeless is a drug addict anymore. The bible teaches us to help the poor in our land. We are not a huge ministry we work out of my home, we are a 501c3 organization that feeds approximately 300-400 individuals a month. Help us expand this help. If youre not in a position to help with food or donate your time, we will accept your tax deductible financial contribution. We will be glad to open our books to prove everything we get goes to those who really need it. This is America not some third world country we send our excess to, charity begins at home, the true church of God is in the street.

Hello to all out there! I just finished watching this piece as I hope all who commented did. My family and I lived in a hotel on 192 for a year. Going from a 3/2b house to a room of 300sq was a shock and something I never thought would happen to us. My husband is the main breadwinner of the family and when he got laid off we could no longer afford our home, bills and food. So we did what we had to do to make sure our children did not suffer unnecessarily and moved to this motel. It was an experience like no other that I would not wish on anyone. The best thing was that I met some nice people who didn't judge us for what happened. That can't be said for the rest of the world. I wish all politicians could live in a motel for a month to see what's its like. My children sleeping in a bunk bed, having only one bathroom, no kitchen to speak of, no place to wash your dishes, having to go down to wash your laundry and just really being embarrassed by it. I thank God that we found an organization called Operation Backpack that was able to get us out of the hotel and into a 2bd apartment. There is no greater comfort than knowing your children are in a safe place because a lot of the motels have released sex offenders living there and it's not a safe place to raise a child. Thank you for doing this story CBS and I wish you all a Merry Christmas!

It is TRULY Sad and Abominable that we have such a high count of people being Homeless and Hungry in the USA. This Totally astounds me considering the vast amounts of money wasted by the government. Funny how we can drum up money for Foreign countries who don't give a Damn about the US except taking what they can ( so called political asylum, medical treatment, and claiming where is the money we need More !!! after the floods and earthquakes ) and once all is said and done, Thanks and SCREW YOU America !!! And It's even Funnier when you have celebrities coming on TV to proclaim how desperate these countries are, Well WHAT ABOUT US !!! Aren't We the People in the US who watch you on both the Big and Little Screens put you there, even if we can barely afford a movie ticket or have basic cable just to have some form of entertainment to break the monotony of the worlds events part of that group that help put you where you are today. These are Extremely Desparate times here in American, how about having commercials sending out the word We Have STARVING and HOMELESS People here too in America, PLEASE Send you Donations to HELPUSA1ST !!!!
