I still marvel at the impact this one brave man had on the world. Sitting here in America, an 18-year old, watching men not much older than me overthrow corrupt leaders...it blows my mind.

This is one of the best reporting by 60 Minutes. In 15 minutes, you did capture the essence of the tunisian mind. 40 years ago, i was in the same situation as Bouazizi, i sold fruits in Tunis at the age of 12. For 40 years i have tried to explain to my American children why i left the country but today i will simply emailed them this video to understand my motives.
Great job, Bob.
On a side note; when i emailed the video to my freinds, the link to the video was not included; please correct that.
thanks.

hi bob Simon this is the first part of Events but you have to accomplish this story and what happened after the fallen of dictatorship
because there is next parts of solidarity between people and the resistance of criminals by the citizen and a lot of interesting, motivating stories

CBS this type of programming does honor to the journalistic industry. Not one shot from an American gun fired, not one soldier's life lost, yet the American dream burns in its own form in countries not accustomed to the freedoms we enjoy without consideration. God bless them and your journalists.

This is incredible, I'm so glad that a major news source finally gave credit where it was so appropriately deserved. I personally knew the Bouazizi family, and was in Sidi Bouzid, just 10 days before the initial suicide took place.
Manubia Bouazizi, Mohamed's mother is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met in my life. She is such a caring, strong and incredible person. She is handling the grief and attention with such grace and composure.
Since Ben Ali left office, the Tunisian people have united in a way that has never been seen before. Things are really changing for the better and I honestly cannot wait to see the prosperous nation that Tunisia will become without the dictatorship of Ben Ali and his entourage.

This is incredibly well done, thank you to 60 minutes and CBS for what you have done. Great coverage!
Just for clarification, in Tunisia, you cannot buy gasoline in a container, so he went to the hardware store and purchased bottle of highly flammable
