I don't know Lady Gaga but I find this woman acted fine. She wants to take people visiting her old home, she is right to assume high probability that the current tenant will welcome her (who around would not welcome her?), then when she finds she stumbled on the exception, she does handle the situation quite naturally.

To those who think she did wrong, please tell what you would have done.

I saw the same scenario on pbs, a guy named sean took a film crew back to a childhood apartment spur of the moment and they told him to make an appointment. I guess people would appreciate some notice
