I found the interview with Julian to be quite eye opening. He has a very articulate and calculated way of communicating. This lends to his cause that is being ushered in by the advancement of information technology. I now feel I know more about him and his organization than before. It was a very informative and neutral interview. I continue to appreciate 60 minutes and hope the flagship in American journalism remains strong indefinitely as I view your program a necessity, as I now view Wikileaks.

I was embarrassed for my country to see the defensiveness by the interviewer. We are slowly losing our rights in THIS country as we "go whistling by the graveyard," insisting upon our "exceptionalism." Our corporate media is currently little more than a voicepiece for the elitist corporate agenda. Even PBS was not allowed (censorship) to tell Americans that Europe, etc. does not allow profits on BASIC health care (in a presentation on health care in other countries.) Issa is now asking that the gov't. give him a list of all those who make Freedom of Information requests about govt. information we need to know as "informed citizens." Republicans voted against allowing us to know what corporations are now buying our elections via the atrocious Citizens United Supreme Court decision. People, Obama just gave a great speech supporting the people of Egypt (and the police) for their dignified and non-violent demands for democracy (while he criticizes his own supporters at home for being "sanctimonious purists.") What has either party done, or is planning to do, to address the unemployment problem? Why are we allowing the Koch brother billionaires and company (Republicans) to tell our Congress what to do? One definition of fascism is a wedding between corporations and government. Can we really convince ourselves that we are not "there?"
