I am so very envious! I am fascinated with and so in love with elephants! They are so majestic. My dream is to one day at least be able to touch an elephant and this amazing lady gets to study them every day. What a life!

A wonderful segment! I was fortunate enough to travel to Dzanga Sangha a few years ago and meet Andrea Turkalo. Between the elephants, Doli Lodge, lowland gorilla watching, and going hunting with BaAka Pygmies, it was one of the most incredible trips I've ever taken. Your show brought back memories of one of the greatest adventure trip I've ever taken. Kudos!

60 Minute's Leading Story:

Horton Hears a Who in the Jungle of Nool....

Witness an elephant giving birth, facinating.
Question: Could elephants grown up in Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo be able communicate with their same elephants species with, for example those in the San Diego Zoo? I haven't figured that out yet.

Thank you 60 min for these kind of stories- its a geat change of pace from awful politics...
These pachyderms- I understand fully what they are saying. But Glenn Beck's elephants- I have no idea what they are saying- his elephant sounds are too complexing confusing, like bratty children

FYI it has very recently been discovered that forest elephants are actually a different species than the savannah elephants of Africa. This adds impetus to the need for conservation.
