GREAT segment!! Thank you so much Natali and CBS for doing this follow-up piece! I'm sure a lot of viewers were surprised when they saw "modern" cloth diapers. And I'm so glad to hear you are a new 'convert.' Welcome to the CD community!

Oh dear, you Americans are so divorced from the natural world you have to use 'tailored' diapers even when you're being 'ecological' and they are washed inside a bag in a washing machine, 'it's not that bad!' she said.
In the sixties, I, a mere man, washed by hand all our children's cloth diapers [we call them nappies in the UK, they are made out of soft white towelling], soaked them in a bucket of disinfectant and rinsed them. There were no 'disposable' ones then, but now you're reinventiopn of the 'cloth diaper' is a tailored, carbon heavy 'product' for someone to make lots of profit out of. Ugh, can't even look at faeces huh? Can't touch, get rid of it quickly into the machine.
The majority of the rest of the world still uses cloth diapers/nappies, only in America does the idea that wrapping a baby's bottom in a cloth appear to be so difficult for 'new moms' to both master and cope with. Utterly pathetic.

THANK YOU!!!! That was the best news story I've ever seen done on cloth diapering. It was a thorough yet concise explanation. Wonderful job!!! I hope it encourages a lot of moms that didn't realize their options for modern cloth diapers. It really is easy!
