Why isn't anyone asking the real question? Why is the Drug Enforcement Administration investigating and arms dealer? Well, I suppose this is a good example actually doing something other than busting harmless pot smokers, growers.

Perhaps 60 Minutes could do another segment investigating the alleged theft of the Granit II missiles from the Russian submarine Kursk. One of these purportedly hit the pentagon. Someone facilitated this transaction, was it Bout? If so, who did Bout sell them to? Perhaps this is why the Russians were not too keen on aiding the US capture of him. The secrets Bout has on this should be very interesting TV...if it ever enters the public spectre. For more speculation on this, see 911thology.com.

I suggest anyone to goggle for this phrase:

Arms Trafficking, Stolen Missiles, Soviet Submarines, Nuclear Detonations and 9/11

- and you will know much more details about Victor Bout's case. You will be surprized indeed when you realize how little you know about his case right now.

I can't say I was ever a fan of the DEA but knowing they captured this piece of sh**t has givin me something to smile about today. More than anything this man needs to be charged with war crimes as well.

"One giant leap for mankind." And the cool thing we do is let foreign military catch the bad guys. Even though it's our event, this was an international 'Hitler,' and for their morale, we worked w/ Thai's, and let their military make the grab. (Also shows our respect for other nations).

What the piece on 60 minutes fails to address is why we had to lure Bout out of Russia? Why couldn't we, instead, go into Russia and capture him? Don't we have a good enough relationship with the Russians to allow us to do so? Edan Aharony

Oh come on! The United States govt is the largest arms dealer in the world, in the business of selling arms to "the scum of the world". They just don't like the competition.
