Drake represents what I see as one of the biggest differences between the Black-American culture and Black-Canadian culture, generally speaking. It seems as though the commercialization of "black culture" in the US has glamorized a level of ignorance that is generally rejected by black Canadians, in my experience. Many of us don't see it as "cool" to speak as though we're ignorant, dress without class, reject education, and behave as though we have little culture or breeding. Kudos to Drake for proving that you don't have to dumb yourself down or "ghetto" yourself up to succeed in the urban entertainment industry.

Thank you Mrs. Katie for that interview. Me and my wife both enjoyed seeing you and Drake "chop it up"..... I think Hip-Hop is misunderstood in so many ways. And I think Drake is a very good look for the Hip-Hop industry!!!!!

Thank you Katie Couric for continuing to think outside the box. Not many news channels interview rap artists. Drake is so talented and has a great personality. I love his music and I am glad you took the time to interview this great artist who has brought a unique sound to the hip hop world.

I have to admit, this country music fan had no idea who Drake was when @katiecouric asked if anyone had questions for him. I'm not a hip-hop/rapper music fan, but I really enjoyed this interview. I was impressed by Drake and enjoyed the short sample of his music. Just goes to show...we need step out of our normal "world" once in a while and try some new experiences. we might just like it.

No wonder CBS is having their rear end handed to them in the nightly news rating reporting on stories like this. posted by baileyccc

i love this interview! Makes me appreciate him even more... Will have to check out "black and yellow." Its still surreal to me just how easy it is to relate to him and how he really is the voice of our generation. Love the music!

I just adore Drake! He is so talented, intelligent, down-to-earth, humble and sexy!!! Katie is one of the best, if not the best, interviewers around; such a sweetheart! I am 45-years old (you couldn't tell by looking at me) and I love Drake and Nicki and so does my son. They are breaths of fresh air to the music industry. I guess when you work with the best - Li'l Wayne, it just rubs off on you. Weezy gave him excellent advice when he told him to be himself. Keep up the excellent work Drake; you too Katie.
