- So. You replace the public schools with charter schools and/or private schools paid for at least partially by the billionaires and millionaires at this time. The millionaires and billionaires inevitably either become bored with what they think is good deeds and wander off taking their money with them or pass their money down to their children who have no interest in schools and education. More and more public schools inevitably fail in the disappearing Cheshire Cat effect that NCLB was created to do. Kids get taught by people who aren't qualified to be teachers because they don't have the education themselves. Congress keeps cutting taxes for the republicans and teabaggers till the schools are no longer able to open their doors. Then what? Are we going to be in a country where children whose parents can afford the fees to send them to private school get educated and those who can't afford the fees don't get an education? Is that the legacy we want to give to our children and grandchildren?
