Good for her. America needs to start seeing sacrifice and it should start with our leaders. Only then can they legitimately expect others to sacrifice.

The sacrifice should affect everyone from billionaires to welfare recipients. Those at the top should be paying much higher taxes to help get the USA debt back on track as it was in the 1950s and 60s. We were doing well then when income tax rates were far higher such as 90% for some. We need to get some of that easy money back from Wall St, CEOS, Hollywood and sports guys who are paid mega bucks for doing nothing.

A Congressional pay cut is like a drop in the bucket. They need to stop the outrageous spending of hundreds of billions (actually this year $1.47 trillion more than we have).

Here's an idea, let them keep their pay but eliminate their health insurance and their pensions.

Just another Democrat backtracking from her support of the government-loving, freedom-hating Obama agenda, trying to get re-elected.

Good idea. I think that everyone in any Government office should get a pay cut. These people are supposed to be public servants and the only reason that they have run for any Government office is to make a differance for all Americans. The money should not what makes a person run for any Government office, It has to be in their hearts to do something or make a good change for all of the people of America.

I think a minimum of a 25% pay cut, maybe even a 50% pay cut. They seem to have no problem with inflicting pain on us, I see no reason why they should be considered exempt.

This is nothing but grandstandin before the elections, think this lady would give up the big bucks.Congress is never going do whats right,it goes against there greedy ,immoral ways.Pay cut thats only for the little people who must carry the brute of all taxes they make into lawsIf look around you the big shots at all level of goverment want the little guys to take a paycut, but they are way to important to do the same.Just in my state they want the teacher to take a pay cut,but the supertient of the schools want get a pay raise, makes 300,000 now.Big companys doing the same CEOgets a bonus,Employees get lay off,but for the good of the company they say. When congress really get around to something like a pay cut,HELL WILL FREZZE OVER.Face the fact the rich and powerful kepp getting richer and you and me will keep footing the bill,oh yea our kids and grandkids too.

A paycut won't hurt any of them, after all, they have their lobbyist friends to help make up the difference--poor Washington!

That is soooooo appropriate. Congress should NOT have the ability to give itself, a raise.

Sorry for the double post but as a comic fan I just also want to thank CBS for covering the Baltimore Comic-Con. That was a nice thing to see at the end. :)
