I beleive muslims have a right to practice and build a house of worship in the land of America. If you are a true American, then you should beleive in the U.S constitution. A wise person doesnt not follow his/her heart but follows what is right and just. I strongly support president Obama and wish America and the rest of the world could always have a wise and sincerely president like Mr. Obama.

A church that was destroyed on 9/11 can't rebuild. Why?

Although I don't think that it is in good taste to build a muslim mosque near the ground zero sight, I do understand that our president has to uphold the Constitution in terms of religious freedom. Nevertheless, for this one instance, and because the tragedy was caused by muslims, President Obama needs to represent "our personal feelings and thoughts" about this situation. The fact the muslims are insistant on building a mosk near the sight is not only inconsiderate but down right hateful.

Obama states that they have the right to build a center of worship on their own property AND THAT OUR COMMITTMENT TO RELIGIOUS FREEDOM MUST BE UNSHAKABLE!!!!

Then I respectfully ask you sir,"why is it that our tax dollars provide AND SUPPORT the entire school system where our children spend a third of their adolescence being told they CANNOT WORSHIP OR EVEN MENTION GOD??"

Yet again your choices seem extreme and anti "American".

Why does he say that Islam has always been a part of America? Just because Jefferson invited a ambassador for dinner 200 years ago to protest our merchant ships being attacked by muslam pirates, does not mean that Islam has always been apart of America.

NO where is it written that ANY religion is within their "rights" to build a place of worship anywhere they like.
The Kenyan is quite the muslim joke. Follow his peeps and educate yourselves and KNOW THY ENEMY!

I totally agree with our president on this issue of allowing the Muslim's in New York to build their Mosque wherever they are financially and legally able to build it regardless of it being close to ground zero of the Trade Center memorial. If we as American citizens are going to continue to hold onto the standards that have made us a blessed Nation under God, we must accept other religions even though they are different from our own beliefs, as a diverse country, with freedoms for all religions, cultures, races, ethnic backgrounds, and who are legal citizens and taxpayers living in America.

This is what makes America great and what you should be proud of:

Sept 11th perpetrated by Muslims. Not one Mosque burns in the US not one Muslim killed in retaliation.

Ft. Hood massacre. perpetrated by a Muslim. Not one Mosque burns in the US not one Muslim killed in retaliation.

Revolution Muslim. A fringe society of NEW YORK Muslims who claim "we are commanded (as Muslims) to terrorize Americans." Not one Mosque burns in the US not one Muslim killed in retaliation.

Muslims demand we remove a playful drawing of Mohammad from a cartoon (South Park) because it is offensive. We capitulate, and deny the 1st amendment rights of others, maybe our most sacred of laws.

This isn't about freedom of religion folks. Don't let fear mongers tell you that the 1st amendment is at stake here. They're trying to use our own laws and sensibilities against us. There are 4 mosques within 4 miles of this spot and another 4 within 8 miles. This is about shoving our face in it, plain and simple
