Recycling does not stop negative health damage caused by humans using plastic! If you use plastic water bottles & food containers~ Hope you're into cancer and sex-reversal! I am not and would appreciate more people would stop the plastic consumer madness. There are better alternatives.

The one thing they left till the end of this story is recycling would resolve most of this whole argument but THAT would resolve MOST of this entire issue!! RECYCLE PEOPLE!!! If we Americans as a whole recycled, the earth would come out ahead!!

It's good to expose the person who is behind this misleading documentary "Tapped".
Even though she was given more opportunities to talk and express herself, the more she spoke, the more she proved that she made up a lot of the misleading information and she knew nothing about what she was talking about.
I wonder if a major water filter company is behind her, it seems they are behind most of the blogs and are steering people against bottled water, it is just so stupid when it is the healthiest beverage out there.
If these anti-bottled water people come to their senses they would encourage it as one of the healthiest choices available.
Thankfully, there are more people with common sense out there that are voting for bottled water as its market share keeps growing.

And for those environmentalists or greens, instead of worrying about the little damage the plastic is doing to the fish, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH DAMAGE ALL THE CHEMICALS (CHLORINE, FLUORIDE, ETC) THAT IS ADDED TO TAP WATER DOING TO HUMANS, OCEANS LIFE, FISH AND PLANTS. SWALLOW THAT YOU BLIND FOOLS.
If everyone drank bottled water, there would be no need to add these toxic and dangerous chemicals.

I love bottled water.

I've seen a short Korean program that introduced why some girls had to struggle under severe menstrual pains while others don't.
The answer was that the use of plastic containers was affecting them.
An experiment was conducted on 4 or 5 females who had to stop using plastic containers to preserve leftovers or any kinds of food and instead they used glass.
Amazingly, they witnessed less menstrual pain after every month.
I didn't catch up with what chemicals the plastic was leasing that affected them.
Yet, the conclusion is that plastic bottles and containers do affect the health of humans.

I am sorry that I can not provide the address of this TV show.. I saw it like a year ago and I'm not even sure which broadcasting station it was on..

I have once in a while thought about this problem.. to my self.. is it really safe to drink bottled water?... since plastic is made of oil or some kinds of chemical componants that melt in hot heat.
However, I do agree with Mr. Doss that more people get sick drinking tapped water than bottled water.. well that is that.. and there comes the other problem.. is it fair for the population in the province te be depleted of water by private companies... I think if it is not;; the people whether or not they are not educated about this problem, should step up and sue whatever problem they face.
Recently, I thought about volunteer in picking up trash on water.
I have no particular means or idea how I would like to do this. but.. I would like to get some advice from those who read this and have ideas.

'we use 18 million barrels of oil a year to transport water'

So what?, we use 2.3 BILLION barrels of oil in the airline industry just shuffling people back and forth for things like business meetings that can be done over video cam means on the net, and so grandma can fly 4 states over for thanksgiving dinner and then come back.

If they want to talk about oil wasted, there's LOADS of things I could bring up, every kid's TOY is made of plastic which is made and transported by OIL.
Tap water is great, if you don't mind consuming CLOROX and toxic fluoride along with rust, sediments in the metal pipes and what might be left over after those ever so common sewage sills and backups, treatment plant floodings and outtages that cause everyone to have to BOIL their water.
At least with steam distilled water, it's as clean and pure as it gets, and for usually less thana buck a gallon I'll use that instead of tap.
Google FLuoride toxicity, it is an industrial WASTE with a long sordid history behind WHY it's in drinking water in the taps.
