- To say that there is a lack of scientific evidence in support of theses of this type [e.g., one particular food or item will work an almost magical-like transformations] is a classic understatement. To say that a combination of exercise, maintaining a reasonable weight, and a well balanced intake of vegetables, fruit, carb's, and protein, along with stress reduction practices, is good for your health and mind is valid, assuming of course no structural, biological, genetic, or other problems that can impair physiological function. Headlines such as this one simplify what is a complex issue, and do a great disservice to public health and welfare.
