Maajid Nawaz is a British Muslim who once believed deeply in "the narrative" but now renounces its message that the United States is out to destroy Islam.

May be CBS news and Leslie Stahl should make an attempt to talk with Indians ( and even Indian Muslims ) in Briton. Indians and Pakistanis look alike, they have similar aptitude and desire to succeed.. But somewhere Pakistanis get much more motivated and blinded with religious blasphemy.

In India youth are motivated by examples set by Bill Gates, Chandra Nooyi ( CEO of Pepsi ), Ratan Tata and Mr. Abdul Kalam ( Ex- President of India ). They want to compete with U.S. and China on research, innovation and new advancements and make it big, they want to study, discover, accomplish and set example to the world at large.

I am perplexed to see what drives intelligent Pakistani youth to the thousand year old principles from religion and not see the future.

Dear Lesley ,

American involvement in Bosnia and Herzegovina are proof enough that America does not hate Muslims.

I am working on my MA in Theology and I am currently studying Islam. This segment was an excellent piece. I appreciated Mr. Maajid?s Nawaz?s comments, I know it must have taken a lot of courage to speak openly on this subject. Additional, I want to thank Ms. Stall in the way she handled the questions and comments from some of the Muslims. The notion that Americans (CIA) would terrorize their [our] own nation and kill and hurt thousands of people is absolutely CRAZY!!!!! I pray that God will bless this nation and soften the hearts of those who bring harm to others.
Keep up the good work??

I want to congratulate Leslie Stall on a great segment. I would encourage CBS to do more revealing segments like this about why anyone becomes an Extremist. Explore to see if there are other people like Maajid Navaz in other parts of the world trying to get young people to understand what Terrorism is doing to them and the rest of the world.

Thanks for the segment on Islam. I have been wondering who among our Muslim neighbors is concerned about and doing something about the Islamic terrorists in America and throughout the world. And what have they been doing. Please provide more on this subject. Thanks, again.
