Wayne is correct. CSB News should do a followup program showing the true facts wherein FDA has approved the TCA in Covington, LA for stem cell research.

It is good to reveal the snakeoil salesmen and put an end to their bogus claims. There are too many desperate people looking for miracles.

My daughter was had dementia, no vision,no movement, etc. She had Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. After stem cells and transvected genes she got back her ability to know who her mother was, her vision, and alot of movement. She went from 13 meds to one. Don't speak on something you are not educated on!!

This was the most uneducated display of the Media I have seen in a long time. My daughter was treated by Dr Morales for 5 years. First with regular stem cells than transvected stem cells. She had Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. A terminal disease that is very progressive. She was diagnosed at 18 mths and by the age of 2 1/2 she dead except for we were waiting on the last of her organs to fail. I recearched Dr Morales and alot of his patients. I took my daughter and she immediatly started to improve. She had dementia, no vision, no movement,no body fat,etc. We went to Dr Morales several times. I was told never to disclose this, but now I have not choice. I had two treatments I paid 6,000.00 a piece. The rest of the treatments were FREE!! Yes FREE. Do you have any idea what transvected genes cost. No you don't because you do not know enough about it or stem cells. My daughter was on 13 medications before stem cells. When she started stem cells she went down to one medication. My daughter started to start recognizing people, she started to see and move again. My child knew who I was!! Can you imagine how much of a blessing that was. Jordan(my daughter) had a trake after stem cells she was able to go out of the house. We went to chuch. She had a piece on her trake that would allow her to make joyful noises. She would sing up a storm in church. We would go to parties and family events. She could actually go in the front door of the doctors office for check ups. We did not have to go through the back so she would not be exposed to other children. When she was first diagnosed we were in the hospital for 8 mths straight. With in one month of her diagnoses she lost her ability to do everything. Little things mothers appreciate like a smile. After that we were in there every other week because she was sick. My daughter passed away Nov 6,2009. She had not been to the hospital in two years except for a minor cold. It had nothing to do with her disease. She had a virus that turned her lungs to paper. Her braub was being damaged because of lack of oxygen. I had to take her off the vinlator because her organs were so strong they would not fail. The doctors said they had several normal children that had died of the same thing. If anyone wants to know the truth about Dr Morales feel free to email me I love to tell you what a spiritual honest educated man he is. I will be reporting to my local newspaper so hopefully it will hit the AP as soon as possible to know the truth. I have before and after pictures. It does not even look like the same child

I am not sure if this story was meant to be one sided or maybe was recorded a while back. I say this because in your story you stated that the only FDA approved stem cell research facility was at The University of Michigan. This is not true, at least as of 8 weeks ago. An FDA protocol for Adult Stem Cell treatment for ALS was given to Dr. Gabriel Lasala with TCA Cellular Therapy, LLC in Covington, LA. It was also stated in your story that there is no FDA stem cell approved treatments being used for anything else, but TCA has been using adult stem cell treatments for cardiac patients for some time now, with great, documented results.
I would wish that you would do another story and include Dr. Lasala's research to show that your story was at the very least dated and not slanted. I would also like to state that Dr. Lasala does not claim to have a cure for ALS, but can show that his method does slow the progression of this disease.
Should you choose not to do a follow up story on stem cell treatments and the reasearch being done by Dr. Gabriel Lasala, I would have to believe that your story was done with an alterior motive and not to benefit the people that are suffering with these horrible diseases.

Excellent segment exposing this type of low life individual that would pry on those afflicted with this terrible disease. We have a family member who has MS and has been treated by reputable doctors in the Boston area for the past 8 years. She is doing very well, active and healthy.
Thanks for exposing this bogus type treatment.

I watched your 60 minutes report on AlS cure with Stem Cell treatment.

However, some people watching your report may come away thinking, specifically, Adult Stem Cell treatment may not have cured other types of diseases.It is a fact that Adult Stem Cell treatment has cured other types of diseases.
When reporting, it may be a good idea to make a statement that their are two types of Stem Cell Treatments, ie, Adult & Embryonic Stem Cell Treatments. Only one, Adult Stem Cell Treatment, has a history of curing some types of diseases.
I know CBS reporters know this. Please mention it in your reports.

Why am I not surprised the FDA declined all interviews for this? They would just have to show that they were asleep at the wheel, yet again (E.coli in hamburger; approving drugs based on the drug manufacturers own sponsored research, etc.) By not doing their jobs, the FDA is doing the same thing to taxpayers as the stem cell doctor to his patients.
