You are absolutely correct. This embryonic stem cell research is a fat waste of time and money. The money should be spent on autologous and umbilical cord stem cell research. Embryonic stem cells have never been developed into any usable treatment for any disease or condition, anywhere in the world, even countries that support embryonic stem cell research. Adult stems cells are already in use to treat 85 or more dieseases and consitions. Why on earth should we pay to continue to develop non-treatments when our dollars can be better used to develop real treatments. Politics has no place in medicine, and embryonic stem cell research is all about politics, not medicine.

You want progress, study cord blood stem cells, not embryonic stem cells.
