I watched "The Three Memphis Murder's" for the first time on television last night. What has happen to our Criminal justice system? They can put three teens in to prison with out evidence and on the word of one of the accused who has the mental ability of a five year old. The step father to the victim had more evidence pointing towards him then what these three teens had against them. The victim's knife was in the step father's tool box and the mother found it. She stated that her son had it on him that morning., The step father said he did not see the children all day, but the neighbor says she witnessed the step father calling for the boys to come home...What is going on? How can they do this? The step father has a lot more questions to answer I would think. Where was he at 6:30 to 9:00pm? Our Criminal Justice needs to let these boys go and then charge the step father because I think he is the one who killed these boys. If Memphis criminal justice system is this quick to throw an innocent person into jail then all of this shows me they don't know what they are doing and someone needs to get a back bone and hire somE political officers that DOES.

I would like to express the I put my feeling about this case and that I strongly feel that these men will be release an that once this happen that they bring on a investagation toward the State choice in handling this case. My most concern is the treatment that Jesse was treated. A young man who was slow in nature, treated for hours in a room with men to confuse twist an turn a mind around, yet Jesse mind would be easy to convents of this tragic affair. SHAME SHAME SHAME to the Police ... Shame on the Judge for not stepping down on the retrial, an to the jurors SHAME you were too convict on the testamony of the case you were present on not the case against JESSE, SHAME on you 12. Be greatful the have not execute Damian.

I remember wen this story came out in the mid 80's. I remember reading this in the papers. How this three young adolescence were wrongly accused a served their whole youth in prison.
If you read this would just watch Paradise Lost on HBO the two part mini series explain in fact that the POLICE should of looked into the Step-Father an Mother. My god look at the footage of the Step Father, an the distance of the Mother towards him... They both know what really happen to this boys..
Damien an the two others were into drug, alcohol, music anything to get attention for the world. Of course, in a small town you say the word Satan, Witchcraft an the whole town has a panic attack in the 80's .. The Hysteria of these words were a way the State to wrongly convict THREE Innocent BOYS.

These small minded hippocratic. If they would just look at the body again the police would see that this young boys were slashed with so much hate an anger. This was of something personal, the mutilated bodies were stabbed then drowned/eaten by animals. Damien an the other two are accused of this crime being a rebelling again the world, parents, teachers, police. Just being different, looking DIFFERENT.
Damien an the others may have teased this boys, but not killed them.

Damien an the others were just looking to have there five minute fame. They never believed that anyone could believe that they did this brutal crime. The Best is that Johnny Depp feels very passionate about this case is great. Unfortunately Too, this date since that posted this on 48 hours I have not heard or read of anything has happen for those men on death row. I hope that Depp is still on top of this case. since this happen they have made a number of story's about this event.

I totally agree with the above comment reguarding the fact that Johnny Depp does not enjoy putting himself out there for this crazy society of ours to ridicule his beliefs. I respect Johnny with everything I have and trust he has spent a very long time with the 3 men faceing their death. Why in Gods name does it seem so hard foe another to say they screwed up? Yes its a huge life altering screw up and its unfortunately happened too many times. What happened to BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT!!!!!! It is much stronger a human being to admit their faults than the COWARD TO HIDE BEHIND HIS OR HER POWER AND WATCH GODS CHILDREN DIE (MURDER) BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ARE TOO COWARDLY TO ADMIT THEY ARE NOT PERFECT

We have a similar case in AK only it was the conviction to two adults, but especially a woman, on no evidence but a lot of yellow journalism that was fed to the media by the prosecution and investigators. There are people in Alaska who honestly believe this woman can bewitch men and total strangers of both genders, even when she's not met them in person! Small communities with narrow minds provide jurors for unethical prosecutors. In this case, willfully ruining the lives of teenagers is beyond sinful. It's time this country passed some laws to hold unethical prosecutors accountable.

This is part of the same hysteria that swept the country with repressed memories.
