ALL I have to say is the USAF just comissioned a prop plane which can fly LONGER and HIGHER than any other plane, and it runs ENTIRELY on Hydrogen taken FROM THE ATMOSPHERE, NOT from OIL. I also keep repeating what I have said EIGHT (8) YEARS now including when Ol' Gutless duped most of the American public into invading a Third World cesspool that had NOTHING to do with 9/11, and of course had NO WMD's. What I said was just think how many renewable FREE energy sources we would have now in the US IF we just would have spent the ONE TRILLION DOLLARS and counting that we have spent in Desert SCAM II and instead spent it RIGHT HERE in the good ol' USA on research for FREE, renewable, ENERGY!

He is using compressed oxygen content with forced natural gas..
send some kids out with BB guns... Boom with a Bloom
and I am talking a Big Boom...

sure he wants one out at the White House...

Governement will Not shut him down, all he is doing is shifting
from one area to another (electrical to gas)
Govenment still gets there money (tax revenue

sure it saves upto 20% with electrical, but increases your gas bill by how much to run the thing..?

It's really so sad that people would concider someones looks as their ability to be credible. But lets leave these poor uneducated folks out of the real issue. Can this Bloom Box be a respite for some of us or possibly some of the major corporations in need of any kind of savings in there usage bills? I would love to say I'm an expert but I'm not,(if you saw my picture you would know that though, wouldn't you?). What I am though, is a person who is interested in anyones "good idea". I will decide if it would work for me..At the price ($) of this I can see that it wouldn't be for the average person but, if it does work for others, and only time will tell, then we can look into it further. I have a friend who sent info about having worked in the 70's on a coal transfer job that would have saved money but, as in most cases, the government shut them down. I see this as what would most likely happen if there was an individual or company that could actually take this "elelctric monopoly" out of the monopolizers hands, and let people decide what they would want to try. I do see wind energy as a way to help, but my sceptical side is waiting for the fees and charges that would be due to the government should anyone actually make use of it. I can also say as a non-expert, that any time big business is challanged, in steps the government, and the legal system. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just be who we are and do the things we think would be good for ourselves without causing radicals to chime in with all the poo..poo's? If any of the nay sayers have a better idea or a way to help improve things, then by all means please let the rest of us hear it. There are too many out there just making noise but they don't have anything possitive to say or any way to help make a change. Please send your pictures also, so we can decide weather or not your worth listening too. By the way I am not anti government, my comments are just due to previous "facts".

I wish the best for Sridhar, but I don't think he's solved the fundamental problem of fuel cells: economics.

Wind and solar offer far better economics (wind is 6 to 8 times less expensive than the Bloom Box), and they don't generate CO2 like this does.

Well, I'm not an expert on this, but I have learned to be suspicious of media hyped technologies. The article says it needs natural gas to make electricity. Anybody can go out and buy themselves a generator that runs on natural gas, and for a lot less money than this thing. So why is it better?

Mr. Kanellos so called expert looks like a dumb guy. For the question like what if this product made cost effective and it can work.. He replied anybody else like GE and simmons can make it..Why din't they make it so far..He did not appreciate Sridar's efforts not even once.. Who makes it is secondary.. CBS should be carefull in choosing "So called experts"

If hailstorm-harry, foxdove, and usdoc1 could do other than comment on Kanellos' looks perhaps their opinions would be worth something. As it is Kanellos voices quite reasonable caution on the Bloom Box. It may work, but it may also be a replay of the Fifties' 200 mpg carburetor. Folks would do well to remember the lessons taught by Bernie Madoff. If it looks too good to be true it probably is not true.

Kanellos looks and acts like a Portnoy's complaint.

Good show for the Bloombox and Sridhar.
