Sorry, this is not about the author, comment on PBS This Emotional Life (not sure how old the series is) but was televised 1/5 just happend to be channel surfing and briefly saw Katie Couric while talking about "fears". So funny because I feel exactly the same way about being out on a balcony and thinking (not seriously) about going over. Just last Christmas on a cruise we had a balcony room, same thing! and no, not everyone feels this way! She also stated worries about being too happy because something "bad" may happen. I get that too, the feeling that the other shoe may drop at any time. I'm planning on catching up and watching the series,it looked wonderful. "The Good Wife" was on so kept me from watching further, keep forgetting about the dvr.

Katie - Another great interview! A really interesting guy. I never read any of Gladwell?s books. I guess I just discounted them as more pop nonsense, but I will read them now. BTW; So glad you are doing this these internet shows. I rarely get to see CBSNEWS, just too busy to watch TV at 6:30.

Another potential Bestseller:
How about some good news from Fort Hood? This place is a home to brave young men and women and their families and mostly, its residents would like to hear some positive things from time to time. That's how soldiers bounce back. Being a Vet, I know soldiers learn to drive on with the mission. Now its time to drive on with lighter news.

New book available to show all of America that Fort Hood is a "hometown" also. Jared, Fort Hood BRAT: The Beginning is the first book in the Jared Fort Hood BRAT series. Find it at https://www2.xlibris.com/bookstore/bookdisplay.aspx?bookid=67489
