In the latest craze that has killed several extreme sports enthusiasts, men don wing-suits, jump off mountaintops and glide down at speeds approaching 140 miles per hour. Steve Kroft reports.

Ok, I think it is crazy and incredible to watch. Great to TV for sure. I am afraid of heights and some of the camera shots made my knees weak. Now, I am no push over when it comes to other stuff, but THIS is SICK. I am glad I don't have to do it. Great to watch others on this one!

I would like to be the first African Bird man. I am 58 years old, but I feel confident to jump from such heights and enjoy the thrills and frills of flying. We do have some very high mountains around Abuja, like the Zuma Rock, it will be a marvellous spectacle if a bird man can jump from Zuma rock, He or she will automaticall become a National Hero in Nigeria. First Birdman lives in Cave Junction Or. Served in France W.W. 11, 82 airborne. He won the first national championships in Detroit 1951. Later becoming a smoke jumper and logger.
