"They need private investment", "... to get a sustainable economy..."

If people have been living in some sort of a communal way for centuries, can capitalism be thrust upon them.

There is a group of people in the Amazon who have little concept of Personal Possession. In their community for example, canoes are shared resources. You only have to take care of the item and return it.

The point is that our new ways of economies... private investment, credit, mortgages, investment banks, stock exchanges etc. These things are really foreign to some people on the planet. And with all the jobs sent to China, Vietnam etc. Has the standard of living in those countries really increased? It seems that shareholders and corporate execs in the Western world reap the bulk of the benefits. I mean so many clothes is made in the third world now because the labour is cheaper we're told. But has the retail prices of sneakers, dresses and so on dropped in proportion to the cheaper labour involved? No. It has meant more profits.

Can't these people be left to their own economic practices. Why must the Western-styled 'private investment' which has often led to big corporations screwing people, be the solution. These Afghans have their century's old systems... can't we just help them to continue doing peacefully what they have been doing for thousands of years (minus the Taliban)?

Sorry, but these guys (Overruled 1, Robert antiwar Fisher) are idiots. You simply can't convince some people of anything, even when the truth is so painstakingly obvious. So, I won't convince you...go ahead and live in fear and delusion. Blame everything on your whack job conspiracies. That is a truly pathetic way to live, but for the rest of us- we should take heed of this message. We must stand tall as a nation in the war on terror. We can not back down from radical Islamic ideology, no matter how many politically correct "lefties" say how evil you are for suggesting that we defend our nation. Meanwhile they munch on their veggie sandwiches in a cavalier manner over a cup of tea, and condemn our soldiers (or was it "the enemy camp", Chris Matthews?). Wake up people! We are at war! There is another party to this war, remember? The one who attacked us first? Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!

The CIA of the past is guilt ridden as we have to reap what they sowed which has followed us home.
I have to agree that the 9/11 attack was not committed by foreign terrorists alone.
It doesn't take a genius to see how our leaders have lied to us and been bought out by the corporate fascists that created our recession and triggered massive unemployement with union busting to boot.

truly spoken like an Ex CIA Pundit. i agree with him that it is high Time to fabricate another fake Attack onto the Home land like on 9 / 11.
after all we need a Reason to attack Iran. have we not learned that the CIA is not to be trusted with their fabricated evidence ?
the only way to get public support would be to cause Murder and Mayhem once more. which Building is ear marked for destruction now ?
