I believe my daughter is the first in US history to have a surgeon order the hospital nurses to give her this technology in ICU in Wichita, Kansas. She was in comma for five weeks - she walked in three days after awaking and adding to the feeding tube. The nurses accidentally gave her an entire bottle in twelve hours. Her esophogus grew back in 13 days.

My brother has severe COPD. Are there any trials for stem cell therapy lung replacement for COPD? We live in the mid-west.

I think the segment on growing body parts is wonderful...my daughter has been born with shortened fingers on her left hand due to polands syndrome and I look forward to the time when scientists can unlock the mystery of genetic problems such as this and enable the body to regenerate itself thus enabling many that are limited in their bodily functions to feel whole again...whether their bodily limitations be due to genetics, illness or injuries...how they must be watching the scientific world with great interest and wonder...I know I am..Thankyou for giving us hope..

I may not entirely agree with many of President Obama's policies, and i know i never will with any president... He in his opinion is doing the best for this country he believes... Whether i agree or don't agree, his calling has earned my respects... I don't agree with those getting so defensive toward those who voice their opinion concerning president Obama though... We all have the freedom to think and speak how we please, if you don't like it, you get out! What's the difference? We can at least be respectful to other's and their opinions, even if we don't agree with it, out of respect for those whom died to give those whom choose to voice their opinion the right to do so!

This sort of research will always have detractors, but the potential to lessen human suffering is wonderful.

***!? Do we honestly think Obama's insurance is going to pay for that? Where are they getting all their money for the research? We won't need that. With the new insurance the Democrats specifically amended the Bill to "DENY" care to the really sick. Who will get the kidney? The death panel(Ins. team) and Obama will decide who gets to live. And who will get the kidney, the 24 year old or the 74 year old or the Rich Mafia in China. obama will give it to the rich China man to pay for his debt to China??

I'm another hearing impaired individual with damaged nerves that would LOVE LOVE LOVE to regain my hearing. I have a cousin that has the same affliction that would want to do this too AFTER the kinks were ironed out naturally....
WOW.... I hope she and I both can do this. Folks don't realize how important hearing is and how it affects you're being able to live alone and travel safely.

My husband has to have an esopageal dilitaion every few months he often gets food stuck two weeks ago his Dr. took biopsy's of his esopagus because he said the color did not look good and it sometimes indicates cancer, we will be getting results on the 23rd of Dec. I saw your segment on regenerating and the Dr. mentioned they would be taking on subjects for testing, my husbands esophagus is only 8centimeters wide, would he be eligible for the testing group?
