You know that its sad that this USA is in such a sad way--all because of the people in Washington not just the president but all of them they don't care about the People you know the people that work for a living the ones that live week to week on a paycheck that does'nt make end's meet-they live up on the hill and don't worry about if a person needs to go to the dr. and don't have money to pay so they don't go or what they will feed the kids for dinner, they have no clue, none of them has ever worried about any of these things because they don't work for a pay check and if they do it would be enough to pay off all the bills that any of us would have, so it will never change no one cares up on the hill in Washington. They are all incompetent, they couldn't live from paycheck to paycheck, might fall apart -because it takes someone with brains to live like we the People live-- you should try it sometime but oh no might have to give up you partys and high class ways and all the designer clothes-do you know how maney kids you could feed off the money you spend on all that Ya'll should stop and think about it,live like all the rest of us and see how and why we dislike all of you.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about. This guy has pulled the country back from the brink of economic disaster, passed the largest middle class tax cut in history, reigned in abusive credit card hikes, outlined a regulatory overhaul to curb hedge-fund excesses and created a new agency to protect consumers, cut deals to slash drug prices for seniors by $80 billion and hospital costs by $100 billion, empowered FDA to regulate tobacco, lifted Bush restrictions on stem cell research, secured EPA authority to limit climate-warming pollution under the Clean Air Act, committed the US to a treaty phasing out toxic mercury, has made the right decisions about Afghanistan (where AL QAEDA is, remember them Republican Iraq war lovers?), is inches away from fixing health care, and in case you didn't notice, unemployment went DOWN last month...this is just some of the good stuff that's happened in less than a year and I'll bet you wish Sarah Palin was president. LMAO.

Nothing will change until Obama resigns....If he's so smart and intellictual, why does he have to quiz others about what should be done to get the economy moving...If he wants to have a BIG GOVERNMENT, then he should encourage a strong and dynamic PRIVATE SECTOR...Until he cuts taxes, regulations, and stops with the grand schemes (healthcare,cap/trade/new taxes) the economy will always be in these doldrums...OUT....

OUR President Obama stands for what is right and just for America and all decent peoples in the world ! With regard to energy policy, the following brief outlines what is right and essential for America and the world.

FREE Alternative Energy Available NOW : CONSERVATION !
America Wastes over 70% of the Energy it Consumes.
Our hedonist energy waste is pervasive and tragic !
(1) 100's of millions of lights burn unnecessary during the day and night.
(2) We over heat and over cool our homes, businesses, offices, schools, churches, etc..........
(3) Most Americans do not minimize their driving. Road congestion is horrendous.
(4) America's obsession with road construction is the ultimate contradiction.

The ONLY way to eliminate over demand and energy waste is by using the economic impact of taxing energy. Only with a substantial and tangible dollar reward/consequence, will Americans care to conserve.
Until the price of gas is $4 to $6 per gallon, Americans will not reduce their over consumption and energy waste. Crude oil needs to be taxed at $200 per barrel(55 gal) and 'offset' by making Federal Income Tax begin at $60k.
In the mean time, the USA continues to give away its economic and political wealth to maintain our hedonist energy waste.
Ford and General Motors continue toward bankruptcy. Hence, they must transition to the lucrative business of building solar and wind 'energy producers' for the world's 6.7 BILLION people reason$. The world cannot continue to support all the automakers.
Mass transit must become FREE, SAFE, CLEAN, and CONVENIENT, thereby rewarding those who reduce their driving.
Global warming continues to increase with our persistent waste and overuse of fossil fuels.
The incentives necessary to create sustainable and renewable energy supplies will ONLY occur when we implement the economics of TAXING ENERGY.

Steve Kroft's interview was absolutely horrible. His unprofessional demeanor was sickening. I just recently started watching 60 Minutes again after a long boycott of the news in general. Kroft reminded me why stopped watching in the first place. Thanks Steve.

Obama finally confirms my question as to how strong the taliban is, a couple hundred. He even states that our goverment knows where the "epicenter" is. Why are we covering the cost of a hundred THOUSAND to eradicate a few hundred?

Why didn't Steve Kroft ask Mr. Obama what the definition of "Success" in Afganistan means to him. What Success does the U.S. need to see before we will leave Afganistan?

Does anyone know history?

Cannot anyone see the correlation between the Roman Empire of long ago with recent empires ( Spanish, English and now American )?

Do you not realize that any president of this country acts not on his own accord but according to those behind him? Certainly, the buck does NOT stop at the president's desk.

We saw the plundering of the taxpayer coffers by the very people who brought the country's economy to near ruin, by design I must add.

We are still witnessing the "flipping" of the country of Iraq, whom we now see had nothing to do with 9.11, but by all means necessary this country's army, at the behest of the president's office alone, invaded said country and had it's president executed.

Isn't this reminiscent of how Rome would conquer its neighbors?

Do we not understand yet that the rich and "blue bloods" still run the world and consider themselves superior and heirs to the earth? And do we not see these 'thought to be noble' ruling behind the front of government and corporation?

Do we not see we've been turned into chattel by decree ( see U.C.C. / straw man / peasant's insurance ).

When will we as a people and country stop being distracted by party affiliation ( dem or rep ), by points of view ( left, right, center ) and by all the other distracting tools which are used daily to deter us from what is really going on and what is being done to us ( we are being turned into slaves, by economic means now, not physical ).

1000 were arrested for protesting the Copenhagen global warming meeting because they were "believed to possibly commit a crime in the future," and this was a recent new law added so the police may act accordingly and stifle opposition to the elite agenda.

WAKE UP!
