"Their job was to clear a road so the base commander could drive safely to a meeting with a local official 12 miles away"
Hmm. And who would know about that meeting? The "local official". Of course, it could be a coincidence that bombs are along the route to the "local official". I doubt it. I suggest FORCING the local official to drive to meet the base commander. If the "local official" declines the offer, punishing air support should be levied on the area of the "local official". That is what war is.
working on passion and something that drives you is everything."
Ummm, excuse me, but the American Dream is being free to work on the 'passion and something that drives you.'
It's sad that too bad that CBS has to put the American Dream in a negative light. Too, CBS fails to say when this engineer came to Iraq. I understand the American military started to reconstruct the marshes almost immediately after the liberation of Iraq. (No, I will not call it an "invasion".)
