American soldiers in Afghanistan are taught that bombs can be hidden just about anywhere, while a bomb squad leader demonstrates the suit that keeps her safe.

Why doesn't 60 minutes do a story on the Navy's EOD. Their special training school a year maybe more, dive training, physical training, and not to mention it's not on a volunteer basis. There is an elite standard that must be met and when and if they complete and pass this rigorous testing then they are chosen.
As a mother I am proud of my son's accomplishments and he is safer with his special unit than those who volunteer because they like to deer hunt.
