A quiet day is a good day for Task Force Paladin, but don't count on quiet days!

In the entire segment that ran on 60 Minutes, the name of the specialty being featured was never mentioned. The reference to Paladin was to a particular mission. These people were all practicing the specialty called "Explosive Ordnance Disposal" or "EOD." It is OK to call them the "bomb squad" for short, but all services, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines train at the Navy's Explosive Ordnance Disposal School. They are known throughout the services as EOD men and women. Not mentioning that is like having a segment on the Navy Seals and not mentioning "Navy Seals."

It is too bad because it was otherwise a good segment. I hope any re-broadcast will correct that omission.

Bill Yankus, Lt.(Ret.) Navy EOD

This was a good report, it shows our intelligent good American citizens doing a job, that they should not be doing! This war cannot be won, and it is going to bankrupt our country. These men should be at home where there are needed, building a new infrastructure for our country, teaching our children to be good citizens, and living the American way.
