Heavy Dennis you must be broke like me otherwise you wouldn't focus 1st on the money aspect (I've learned not to). Rich or poor; black, white, or otherwise - all of us make dumb decisions. I saw tremendous remorse and sincerity in Andre. Look what he is doing now for others. Thank you Andre for taking the covers off and exposing your hard truth! And thank you for your community service and for becoming a better man and human being! We need more of both. peacelove&manyblessing

Blah, blah, blah Andre.
Life is what you make of it.
You chose drugs, now you have to reap what you've sown.
Really, how sincere is it really to "come out" when you want people to buy a book.
There are far more people who tell their story with sincerity, and they dont have any other motive.
Famous people are always contrite when the are on 60min., Oprah, ET,
when they are before the camera.
And we fall for it....
Imagine if there were no book deal,no records to buy, no movie to see would we hear from them?
I doubt it.

As a human being, as a man, as an ex tennis player, I salute Andre Agassi for being that open and that honest about his past. Remember this has been painful for him and something that he possibly buried because he was too ashamed. It took a lot of guts for him to come out and to be that honest, not only to the sporting arena but to the world itself. You could see how hurt he was when he heard some of the harsh comments that came through from some of the past and present tennis players. All I can say is that ''HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE''. There are others out there in the tennis world past and present who I'm sure are doing or have done worse interms of drug use and are keeping silent about it. He made a mistake like we all do as human beings and people shouldn't forget that. To me what he did was a mistake, a huge mistake and he knows that. We need to forgive and move on. I'm looking at what he's doing now, him as a father, a husband, a mentor and giver. He will always be to me and to many other sporting fans the great ANDRE AGASSI.

My beef is with the USTA! how the heck could they believe that Agassi took meth by "mistake"??? I can't believe that they would believe that. Either they are just plain Stupid or because Andre is a white boy and they did not want his lies to "tarnish" their tennis association!!...and these A$$es wanted to suspend Serena for a stupid comment she made toward some lineswoman who continued to cheat Serens from the Championship!!!! Funny how Michael Vick was imprisoned for some damn Dogs but Agassi skated through tennis with his lies and drug abuse!!! Give me a darn break!!

I grew up watching Andre. I had posters of him on my wall. I didn't have crushes on the New Kids on the Block. It was Andre. I watched all his matches, a member of his fan club. I will admit that I was a little disappointed when I heard about the drug usage, but he has shown how to learn from his mistakes and turn his life around. A lot of people make these mistakes and are not this open about it. You can see from the footage just how hurt he was when Katie quoted what Martina said about it all.

Andre you will always be the "ace of Heart's for me.

People can say what they want about Andre whether in Tennis or not. As someone who is not famous and who was an avid Agassi fan I say cudos to you for telling the truth. Andre has given so much back to his community and to kids who would never have gotten where they are without his generosity. These are the things that should reflect who Andre is...not a mistake that was made years ago. We are nothing if we can't show compassion to someone who made a huge mistake but has owned up to it! Who are we to judge...and how many of us would have let our dark hiden secrets out when they didnt really have to?

The interview dropped the ball on the Brooke Shields portion. It fell short. The interview was so quickly being shuffled over to the meth issue, that a gargantuan pearl was left unharvested.
Catie starts off by reminding him that he pledged to be painfully honest, then never delved in to the meat. I felt like she skated past substantial information just for the opportunity to exploit drug use.
Sorry, just my uneducated opinion.
