I hope that in tomorrow's Tomorrow show the health issues involved with being subjected to noise. I've been attempting to convince my city council that it would greatly improve the quality of life in our small town that the RR runs through, if we would make it a quiet zone. We live two blocks from the tracks. The sound is deafening if you're outside on the porch or patio. The properties neaxt to the tracks are mostly run-down rentals, as many people can't stand to live there for an extended period of time. If they would, they would find that it does do harm to your hearing and your central nervous system--even if you're good at 'ignoring' it. Thanks for further exposing this annoyance. That is interesting, an earpiece but yet the sound waves goes through his jaw? Huh!? If that is the future I don't know if I want it, especially since you read of people with tooth fillings that pick up radio stations. If we could just perfect it, we wouldn't need ear pieces now would we?
