Oh By the Way! Did you know that the Life Vests on the Plane are NEVER Changed after the Plane is put into service! If the plane is 10 years old ? so are the life-vests and that is why they tell you that you may have to blow into the two tubes because the compressed air canister ? may not work ? Fly Safely!

What the Airlines do not tell you is that on an average there is One COCKPIT Fire Daily in the Air ( Newsweek Magazine Article "COCKPIT Fires" December 12, 2005 ) - and that after speaking with numerous Flight Attendants and Pilots for Airlines around the World the reality is that when there is a Fire on a Plane - The Passengers are "SCREWED"

Medically - We as Humans can not Live More than 3 weeks without Food - 3 Days without Water and Only 3 Minutes Without AIR " OXYGEN " - YOU WILL DIE - Guess What - When Flying at 38,000 feet and there is a Fire on a Plane - The time it takes to get to 10-12,000 feet so they can vent out the plane is more than 3 minutes.

Just recently, I spoke with a Flight Attendant on JAL Airlines who flies from Bangkok to Narita, Tokyo on a 747 and when I asked her How many Flight attendants on board she said 17 and when I asked How many Fire Extinguishers on board in case of a fire - there are only 10 - each equipped with a separate Oxygen Generating Breathing Device allowing them to Fight the Fire without being overcome with Toxic Smoke - DUH! What about the Passengers? You are SCREWED! The airlines will not admit this ? Yet I even had a Northwest Airline Pilot Admit this to me as well as others

In Fact SKYMALL Magazine contacted me directly about placing My Product ( a Fire Escape Smoke Hood - ASE30 30 Minutes of filtered breathable Air ) in their magazine and when they approached the airlines - they said NO - you cannot put it in your catalog - Guess Why? They don't want you to know about the danger of flying.

By the Way the Pilots also have these same Type of Oxygen Generating Breathing devices for their use giving them 12-15 minutes of Oxygen in case of Fire. You think the Oxygen Masks are going to Come Down - Think again - What Does Pure Oxygen do in case of Fire - Like Pouring Gasoline on a Match - KABOOM! Think again and Fly Safely

I travel around the World and Carry a Fire Escape Smoke Hood with me in the Cabin wherever I go - Even TSA People Know of this product and will let it pass on-board When I spoke with a QANTAS Flight attendant and told her I had a Fire Escape Smoke Hood with me ? she said, ?people will fight you for the use of this in order to save their lives? ? I told her ? ?isn?t that a shame?

Oh By the Way! Private and Corporate Planes already use these for personal Safety and so does the US Air Force

Fly Safely!

Maybe Andy should be a little more grateful for his modern conveniences - check out this commentary by Louis C.K. on Conan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r1CZTLk-Gk

Shouldn't Andy mercifully retire so that Steve Kroft doesn't have to act amused when he signs off after another Andy embarrassment? It would be such good manners to do so.

Mr. Rooney said the following: "None of the airlines {have} asked for my advice. The subject of that sentence is "none," not "airlines." Since "none" is singular, the predicate should be "has," not "have." I did enjoy the content of Mr. Rooney`s commentary.

Mr. Rooney, they have many more people flying at the back of the airplane and could not sleep like you do in your first class seat. I personally appreciate a little thing they can do to make my trip more enjoyable; I might have looked at the Grand Canyon without knowing so. If you have seen it all and knew it all; a cheap ear-plug will do it job.
I don?t know if the airlines make you take your shoes off; I thought TSA does. I am sure you don?t look like a terrorist, but I may look like one. If I have to take off my shoes and you don?t have to, I may want to sue TSA as being prejudice. I am glad the airlines do whatever it take to stay in business; otherwise, I hate to swim across the ocean.

Andy Rooney gets fed *anything* on his airline flights? I haven't had a meal prepared on an airline in over 4 years. But then I'm not flying first class.
