We have to take this seriously and know precisely who gets hurt when movies are pirated. Not only are we killing the quality film industry when we download movies but we're also funding the systematic criminal networks that pirate the movies. If you listen to the whole interview you'll know that those gangs are not only involved in pirating movies but also the drug market and prostitution?child prostitution. Is this want you want to support financially? It's okay to complain about how the actors and directors and CEOs in Hollywood are overpaid, but at least they're civilized (for the most part). You can't say that about movie pirates.

the moves suck for the most part anyway.. and add in the 10 dollar popcorn and 3 dollar coke that costs the theater about a quarter to make and you see why torrents have become so popular..

the industry needs to re-think 'their' rip-off strategy.. i.e. sequels etc.. no more Halloween XXX.. Jason should be thru by now..

Even if you think SteveLombardi is a nut job communist (like I do [kidding]), 60 min still missed the mark.. why didn't you ask about video games sales. The real fact is that Movie Tickets, DVD/Blueray prices are too high compared to video games. If you can buy 5-30 hours(or more) of entertainment in the form of a video game(or subscription ie. WOW) for $20-$30 or a 2 hour movie for $10(Movie ticket) what would you pick?? The movie industry is hurting because of the increased video game sales and corporate greed. CEOs and some actors are making too much money and not getting the job done. I'm talking about you, Adam Sandler... and for ***** sake stop demonizing the Internet and bittorrent they are the last unfiltered parts of the First Amendment we have left.. this show is just ignorant old farts scaring other ignorant old farts..(Except Andy Rooney you're ok)

I had to laugh watching these leftist Hollywood idiots complain about losing money. Since when did Hollywood believe in capitalism and profits? If they're so worried about the "crews" working on films not keeping their jobs how about they cut their salaries from millions of dollars to what "normal" people make. Simply pathetic. Go cry to someone that cares.

I cannot believe you would have the audasity to air this show. You have got to be kidding. These movie people who make millions of dollars per film not year are ******** about those of us who wont spend $10.00 a ticket per family person who might buy a counterfeit CD? You are supposed to be a news media? Do you know what is really going on in this country or you dont really care? For real boo hoo. Maybe the movie industry should take a pay cut and let us see movies for a lot less. I live in California, i know there alot of people who make to much money for what they do compared to those of us who take care of your children ,protect you and make sure you have a safe country to live in. You are a real insult to the working people in this country!

Is there a new American Revolution taking place? Have you notice that 6 million or more Americans are out of work; Maddoff stole $76 Billlion while the SEC watched and turned a blind eye; Bush lied to invade another country to spend billions for his war armament buddies who make the armaments; the economically poor-victims of medical mistakes are blamed and get to pay for the mistakes of professionals; the US Chamber of Communism raises millions so a few can make billions off of the few who still have jobs while saying nothing about corporate irresponsibility, theft and fraud; ?tort reform? ignores motorcycle manufacturers selling mc?s capable of driving 180 mph and yet there are no roads where speeds exceed 70 mph; the US Congress is bought and paid for by special interest groups evidenced by their continuing to vote jobs out of our country while telling us ?vote for me?; liar loans are sold as investments while GS bets against pension funds gullible enough to purchase the paper; and you want us to be upset that people are stealing "intellectual property"? Talk to us about food, housing, medical care, shelter and an affordable education; get real. I love Sandra Bullock but I doubt she?s starving. Matt Damon isn?t going to starve like the millions of Americas who are without an income. The Second American Revolution is just starting; remember the guy who said future wars would be fought with a video camera? Remember that quote and think about our reality. Like I said the second American Revolution has begun. Steve Lombardi, www.lombardilaw.com and www.desmoines.injuryboard.com. Welcome to the new America.
