At the end of this story it is implied (rather stongly) that movie piracy is the direct cause of the movie industry's financial and attendance woes. While piracy should not be condoned, I've seen it brazenly practiced in China, its eradication will not save the movie industry's downward spiral. Ridiculously high prices, uninteresting content, and lack of diverse choices are the true culprits. We haven't gone to a movie in years because the experience is so awful, expensive, and not entertaining...and that's just the thrillers. I propose that eliminating piracy will have no positive impact on the movie experience, rather it will just move money back into the pockets of the same backward looking, unimaginative folks who produce this schlock.

Just like drugs... Pirated movies wouldn't be a problem if jack-***** didn't buy them in the first place.

What's wrong with the human brain that it has to live as crappy a life as possible?

It doesn't take money to have a high standard of living. It takes values.

It seems poor people are growing in population.. and the sentiment is they want POOR to be the norm. The good life is getting uglier and uglier the more standards are lowered (by those who don't have a clue).
