In the dvd commentary to the "Kung Fu" episode "A Dream Within a Dream", David Carradine talks about what a great actor John Drew Barrymore was (Drew's father). John Drew did a great job in that episode and Carradine was hoping that his guest starring role would lead to other roles and a comeback of sorts. However John Drew was such a maniac on his next job that his career as an actor never restarted.
