As she made this statement on local news, and in the local town meetings, I wondered just how she and TVA's corporate leaders could sleep at night when they knew up front this was happening, going to happen, the issue was when? Now, they want trust and faith! How? When they are buying out who they can selectively, leave others behind on contaminated soil, buy out renter's whom have binding contractual lease from that home owner on that land they labled as contaminated which they refused to settled with. Plus when (9-18-09 @12noon) they made an attempt to burn Higher Sulpher content coal (cheaper too) for the next month, The Ash started to fall from the smoke stacks and surrounding Swand Pond Community like black snow. Randy Ellis's Mother property got the blount of it.Randy Ellis and received a call from his mother which in turn he called TVA they knew nothing about what was happening, news media was there along with several mayor's from Harriman and Rockwood. TDEC and EPA was called there response has been documented. It is TVA's that is outrageous.
Randy Ellis reports that after he spoke to Ms. Leslie Nale, TVA Kingston Plant Manager statement at 9:30pm 09-18-09,"TVA has sprew ash from smoke stacks all over the community. I know you have received word about this from others in the community. They do not care about the people left here". The town meet we found out TVA is in the process of buying a unsealed landfill locally for which month's ago they said they were not interested. Have Faith and Trust in TVA? NO, I don't I have lost all trust. They say what they want you to know, and only what they want you to know, and cover up the rest! Then it is years later we find out the real truth! They need to be held accountable starting with Tom Kilgore,CEO of TVA and going down the chain of command instead of them hiding behind their doors.
This needs to start right in congress and our senate who put these people in there position. After all. are we as citizen held accountable for our actions in the work place,at home and as a neighbor, as a law biding citizen or is large corporations given different sets of standards and rules that they can cheat, steal run over the little citizen under the cloak titled "United Stated Government" as TVA does.
I would hope 60 minutes would do a follou-up of what has happened to everyone post the after math of the "TVA ASH SPILL". It is true we do not know what the health effect are, do we have to wait 20 years?
I sure hope not, I only know that before alot of people did not suffer any symptoms (bleeding nose's,headache, seizures,asthmas symptoms,chronic respt. issues) the list goes on and on post the spill the eco system changed.
