the real statistic is closer to the top 1% owning more wealth than the ENTIRE BOTTOM 95% combined. that is just disgusting. the current financial system we have is a grossly perverted form of capitalism that has been allowed to run amok thru deregulation to where wall street bankers and stock brokers are manipulating the stock market for their own personal gain with other peoples money. its absolutely criminal and needs to be stopped. STRICT PERMANENT regulations need to be put in place to bring balance to the countries distribution of wealth.

What company best symbolizes America today?

How about:

Enron
Lehman Brothers
Goldman Sachs... and all those companies that have made obscene amounts of money.

Robert Reich is correct: We've become super capitalists to the disfunction of society itself. When 4% of the population has 20% of all the wealth in America, and the American people are mostly apathetic about it, then something is dramatically wrong.
