Mr. Schieffer speaks about the meaness of the present political debate, this after 100,000 to one million of these angry people marched on D.C. without a single arrest.
In preparation for the G20 conference Pittsburgh is gearing up for expected violence by left wing nuts. This has apparently flown right over your head.

Hey, Bob - you are a busy man; however, when you have a moment please research Mark Twain's comments re the Congressmen & their boorish behavior. Also, do recall how mean AND disrectful we were towards Bush. & I say this because as a former liberal democrat I was part of it. There were cartoons in the internet morphing Bush into a monkey even H.L. Mencken was quoted to show how we felt about the Bush WH. Now with Barack whenever there is any disagreement with him/WH you 'media' immediately go into defense mode for BHO. What's the deal we can dish but can't take it. I'm also a product of the sixtees talk about disagreeing... Tell me who is/was polite? Actually we were down right rude. But this new guy in the WH doesn't understand his office & his duties as president under the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

You couldn't be more in the dark "kenhamlett". But not to worry. You and your kind will soon see the massive force that agrees with the beliefs of Glenn Beck, unlike how your irrational mind imagines it as a "small group specifically charged with the job of making noise". We are not so small, and that noise you hear will only get louder until our values as true patriots are realized!

"BeckieBest" might be right about outbursts being fueled by fear - fear that Americans are losing their great Republic to Socialists and Communists - but lies....really? what lies? Have you ever watched a Glenn Beck show? He has evidence to support every word that he utters! Please base your ideas in the real world and not some fantasy island where "everyone's just out to get you" mentalities create your own fear (yes, YOU have also shown your greatest fear, a fear of failure, which is why you rely on our government to pick up the "tab" of your life. Shame on you! Please change your heathen ways so that my children and grandchildren do not have to pay for your reckless behavior!! I beg of you...

People are angry because of the corruption, lies and socialization of America. This is not the "change" that Americans want - if it was, then there would be not protests!

I could not agree more with the comments by the panel. I am a firm believer that a person's heart predicates and determines how they react to many things in this life. The Red vs. Blue argument has been going on since the beginning of time. Since the heart determines the blood flow through the person, and their organs, it is imperative the flow is not restricted and well oxygenated. The same is true with the heart of the nation, the people. Unless we can get past this mean rhetoric we are experiencing we will continue to be a Rep. vs. Dem and red vs. blue state argument.

People are angry because of the underhandness of our Goverment. They have it in their head the people work for them, yet, they work for us. While American's are/have lost their livliehood, their children are going hungry, there is very much fear, and the Gov wants more, and more, and more. Yes, of cousre we are angry! We are sick and tired of it and if our Gov does not get with it, we'll see race riots, distruction of property, deaths, etc., and this time it will be against the rich. America is walking a very fine line and it is those theifs of our Gov who are the pers.

Say what? Get into the lower case and try to make a little sense in your next post. And while you're at it you should try to cast out some of your "angry, fear . . ."

Bob Schieffer should have been the nightly news anchor for CBS but instead CBS tried to be politically correct and choose Couric.
I don't watch any nightly news now because I can't stand any of the anchors.
Brian Williams is the best but I can't take his screaming monotone voice.
Says a lot when someone as good as Schieffer is passed over for a gravel voiced mean faced woman who has the expression of a muslim terrorist on her face.
Enjoy being at the bottom CBS, you made it happen.
