This was nothing more than a staged campaign speech. Steve Kroft should be ashamed to call himself a journalist. Keystone pipeline, Boeing held hostage in SC, Fast and Furious Scandal, promises to balance the budget in his first term, promise to close Guantanimo, promise to get out of Iraq and Iran - let alone enter into three new "boots on the ground" conflicts and "Transparency"???!!! You must be kidding me. This is the worst president ever in the history of the country. Go back to community organizing - he obviously has no real leadership ability at all. He has done nothing but polarize the country. He crams Obamacare down our throats and then demands compromise, which to him means allow the Cloward Piven strategy he proposes to come to fruition. The worst ever!!!

Mr. Kroft I'm very disappointed in the softball questions (Like a Larry King Celebrity Interview) asked our President about his health care proposal. We the public have depended on shows like 60 Minutes to ask the difficult questions. It appears things have changed since the passing of Mr. Hewitt unfortunately. President Obama is proposing a change that will affect every American family and these are the most compelling and challenging questions you can come up with Mr. Kroft? Tell me President Obama's staff insisted you ask these and only these questions right? If this is so you should have said no to the interview your integrity with the public is worth more. At least I knew it was when Mr. Hewitt was alive.

Failure without a STRONG PUBLIC OPTION. Don't let the Republicans or the Baucus hillbillies gut it either !

I must tell you that in observation of your interview with the President of the United States of America this Sunday 13 September 2009, I got the feeling that He not you wrote all the questions, I was appalled by what I heard and saw. I'm over 65 yrs old and have NEVER missed a 60 minutes broadcast except when serving in a combat zone overseas. After today I will not ever tune into the program again. What you did was NOT in keeping with the 60 minute program format (in my opinion) of the past which was good honest investigative journalism

Finally we have a president who is willing and courageous enough to see this thing through to the end! Healthcare reform is ambitious; it will have to happen incrementally. Affordable coverage for all, including a public option, is certainly a first step. But it cannot be the only step or we will continue to be in crisis mode, without cost reduction and a rethinking of what good healthcare entails (revamp med school programs to train doctors to think more about preventive care and nutrition, etc....). Pres. Obama is not giving any "concept" speeches; if you want details, be responsible, do your homework, go to thomas.gov or call your elected representative in Congress to get the details. Good healthcare is what we all depend on and it is an individual responsibility to be educated about the plan rather than to rely on misinformation from those whose message is based on emotional rhetoric and/or financial interest.

I am disappointed at a Media that will not ask specific questions in the health care/insurance reform debate.

1. If we can fund health insurance with a pubic option by eliminating waste, inefficiency & fraud in Medicare and Medicaid why on earth are we not doing that immediately?

2. I know what a "medical cost/benefit ratio" means to ME. What does it mean to the president and what does it mean to the Health Commissioner and panel that will be appointed?

3. Will medical doctors be forced to participate in a public option or will they have the freedom to choose to opt out?

4. Do we have enough doctors?

5. How do any of the present proposals encourage patients to audit their bills, ask medical providers questions about treatments and generally educate them?

6. If patients are already paying premiums for "gold plated" health care because the individuals prioritized such, why discourage it with a tax? Will congressional plans be considered "gold plated" and taxed? What are the components of a "gold plated" health care plan?

7. I do not need to listen to any more "concept" speeches from the President. The American public needs some specifics.

Thank you...my comment is that as a Nation we need to pull together, we are all in this together, the WAR, the Economy, and Healthcare Crisis. We need to come to gether with the brightest Ideas, those that oppose the Presidents plan, should come forward and meet with him, bring together the best ideas, the brightest minds. There is Nothing we cannot accomplish, if we work togeter. This goes for the media too. Slanting one sided is not the way...the middle of the road...has always been the best road.
