1. If we can fund health insurance with a pubic option by eliminating waste, inefficiency & fraud in Medicare and Medicaid why on earth are we not doing that immediately?
2. I know what a "medical cost/benefit ratio" means to ME. What does it mean to the president and what does it mean to the Health Commissioner and panel that will be appointed?
3. Will medical doctors be forced to participate in a public option or will they have the freedom to choose to opt out?
4. Do we have enough doctors?
5. How do any of the present proposals encourage patients to audit their bills, ask medical providers questions about treatments and generally educate them?
6. If patients are already paying premiums for "gold plated" health care because the individuals prioritized such, why discourage it with a tax? Will congressional plans be considered "gold plated" and taxed? What are the components of a "gold plated" health care plan?
7. I do not need to listen to any more "concept" speeches from the President. The American public needs some specifics.

- It's unfortunate that Obama must "own" any bill. Bills originate, are written, and eventually are passed (or not) in Congress. Obama tried to avoid this obvious evasion of political responsibility on the part of our legislators, by offering guidelines, and then exhorting them to do what is their job. The republican strategy of course, is to label any bill "Obamacare", to eviscerate it, and then blame the failure on Obama. Stealth republicans like Baucus are happy to let him do it. Is it any wonder why most of the public thinks Congress is worthless?
