I like to call them by the alternate titles;
"As my stomach turns"
"One life to ruin"
"Venerial hospital"
"Ryan is hopeless"
"Guiding my ____"
cbs could have kept this on.many people video tape soaps,or dvr or tivo them.why dont the networks consider this in thier ratings.guiding light was my favorite.like young and restless but its starting to get like bold and beautiful which i think is the worst soap ever yet it gets ratings.i and my wife love guiding light they are family to us.they are going to replace it with a remake of an old game show how stupid.may stop watching cbs daytime.i dont watch days of our lives hate the abc soaps.just try and find something else to dvr.shame on cbs.guiding light was the best
That's the point I've been trying to make what Morley said. Soaps are dying, people can't watch them when there on. Why don't the idiot network consider DVR, TVIO and web viewing; the networks need to get into the 21st century.
Look what there doing to AMC moving it to L.A.. Y&R is bizarre desperate for ratings even there number one; they?ve been renewed for 2 years but they tried to make the actors either take a pay cut or be reduce to reacquiring status. Now know why no one wanted the Daytime Emmys it sucked and the why treated GL applauding I will never watch it again. I sure hope they finally get the respect they truly deserve Sad sad day for soaps. Good by old friend What can be done to save the soaps.
