Healing Post-Partum Depression
September 8, 2009 6:46 AM
Dr. Jennifer Ashton sits down with Dr. Elizabeth Fitelson to discuss post-partum depression. Dr. Fitelson's advice for new mothers includes counseling, nutrition and awareness to signs of depression.
- I found this piece very insightful, and plainspoken. I am grateful for the amplification Dr. Fitelson provides.

- A friend asked me once if I had ever had Post Partum depression. I remember being very depressed, but I thought it was because my husband left me a month after the baby was born with a woman he met while I was in the hospital having the baby. He walked out on $40,000 in debt, and he sent no child support. The other woman and the debts are things I would have been depressed about if I hadn't had a baby. So I have no idea which part was Post Partum depression and which part was the other. That was all 30+ years ago.
