- Good luck, Shawn, in your life. I'm so sorry you had to spend 4 years, let alone 4 minutes, with this monster. And you're right-no one knows what you went through, what you had to do to survive, and so no one should question your decisions that kept you with this fiend for all those years. Not sure how or why anyone else can judge you if they hadn't walked in your shoes, and not sure anyone else would have had the resiliance and strength to move on as you did. I, for one, admire your courage and determination to not let this horror color your life. You're home with your family and friends again, and that's ALL that matters most. Janet in California.
