I don't believe Vick feels any remorse, as they say he is only sorry he got caught. I understand he has a brother that is even worse. I visited Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, where 22 of the Vicks dogs were sent.It breaks your heart to see what condition these dogs were in when they arrived. No person with a heart could do what was done to these animals. Second chances are for people who do not deliberately harm humans or animals. Here is a quote from a book I read a long time ago:
"Treat no living creature cruelly. Don't hurt animals, don't hurt children, and stop the ones who do just because they can."

I am a teacher in prisons. I must believe in second chances or I would be unable to get up every day and go to work. Unfortunately, I have been educated about psychopaths and their inability to feel compassion for other living things (people included)....read The Mask of Sanity for some insight. Only time will tell if Mr. Vick is sincere. True psychopaths are charming and will say anything to get what they want. We want to believe them because they are so sincere. We get comfortable and turn our backs and wham! A shank in the neck. Remember, Jeffrey Dahmer started his career using animals. Be careful Philadelphia. Don't turn your back.

I don't buy it -- MV's remorse, that is. He's remorseful because he got caught. That's as far as it goes. The relevant question is whether MV feels bad because of the cruelty he inflicted upon innocent living beings who have come to rely on humans for their well-being. I don't believe he does. Society cannot MAKE a person all of the sudden feel compassion for animals. If he didn't have compassion for his animals before he got caught, I doubt he does now. He only understands animal cruelty in theory -- that is, that animal cruelty is illegal in all 50 states and that he lost fans because of it.

Americans are over reacting. A lot of times our reactions are based on how the next man react. 5-10 years ago mix martial arts was considered barbaric, now it is considered one of our tops sports. Why? Money!!!!!!!!!!! Its not less inhumane than dog fighting.

I think Mike deserves another chance. What he did was not right, however like many professional athletes he was unable to seperate his career from his recreational life. I wish he would have stopped, but he didn't and learned a very valuable lesson, maybe now he will appreciate what he had and we will not see Mike in the news except for the fantastic moves that he make on the football field.

I'm a dog lover myself, and he was wrong. But he has served his time. But only person that will judge him is God, so if throwing stones, stones my come back at you. I hope that he will change his life around and stay positive and keep God in his life. You will not change everyone mind about him.

Vick did some terrible things. But he did serve time in prison. We must all hope that he gives all of his money back to the community and to charities, and tries to make good on his lastest promises. He could show us that just because we do something very bad, it doesn't mean we're consigned to a life of bad behavior. Let's see if Vick can turn his life around.

here's a good article about whether Vick will divide Philadelphia... http://www.mindreign.com/en/mindshare/Sports/Will-Michael-Vick-Divide-Philadelphia-3f/sl40763392bp470cpp5pn1.html

The horror and shock of vick's involvement in dogfighting is well warranted. Michael Vick participated in the heinous torture of dogs that were deemed unfit for fighting. Michael Vick was eventually brought to justice to pay for his crimes. Michael Vick HAS PAID for his crime and like most that serve time, he is looking to move on after prison. In my book, he should be allowed to just move on. I too wish him well in his endeavors. I challenge others to do the same.

What mike vick did was wrong we all know that and there is no excuse for it but he is human we all make mistakes in this life who are we to judge him when we are not perfect either some who are judging him have done worse things we dont know about. Only GOD can judge him and all of us non-perfect humans. I support mike vick and the changing of his life he paid his dues and now its time to move on and right his wrong. I support the eagles for giving him the chance and the NFL i will always be a fan of the NFL and MIKE VICK. I wish Mike vick blessings and a sucessful life and career.
