I am Haitian and I was one of those
little boys growing up in Haiti in
those sad but real conditions.

I am now Living in New Jersey
Served in the U.S military while traveling the world.
And now working for the government.
I think about my country all the time.
I would love to go visit and enjoy a vacation.
But those destroying it are making hard and unsafe.
for people to come spend money there and enjoy and relaxing time.
Thank God for guys like Wclef trying to make a positive impact.

Thank you 60 Minutes for doing an uplifting piece on Haiti. Thank you Wyclef and 60 Minutes for showing viewers the wonderful side of Haiti (the people, their music and their undying determination).

We all know that Haiti needs help. And, as you mentioned in your report, many have tried to help and have grown frustrated as progress is not made quickly. Until now, I?ve never seen a report on WHY we want to help Haiti: the amazing people and culture. Thank goodness people?s eyes are finally opening to this spectacular country.

When we visited, we deplaned and walked along the tarmac and looked at the beautiful mountains. I asked my husband, ?Is it too early to say I love it here??

Wyclef has always been one of my favorite rock music star, and as an Haitian citizen,I'm very proud of him, for the love he has in his heart for his Haitian brothers and sisters and for his nationwide brothers and sisters as well. I think he is such a great example that we all need in order for us to keep moving forward....

America is blessed to be the adopted country of Wyclef Jean. It was great to see an individual such as Wyclef with such concern and passion to help the poor and less fortunate people in his homeland. In America, there are many super star musicians and sports figure who have the necessary stardom and charisma, but who have a serious lack of concern and committment. The current climate is ripe for change. We have a new president who began his career as a community organizer, and is now in a struggle to make health care available to all Americans. After watching Wyclef, I feel it's a duty of all Americans to do something to help, to pitch in, to help in some way. We can make a difference in someone's life. Wecan call our senators and congressmen. "YES WE CAN!"

Wyclef Jean has become my favorite musician and I have only heard one song. More importantly what I heard was a well spoken man with a great vision. Haiti needs this man as does most of the streets of American cities.
