GO EAGLES!Thank you for giving Michael Vick a chance. You are the answer to my prayers and because you did the Christian thing by giving Mike a chance. I hope and pray you have a wonderful season.I hope you win the Superbowel even thoughi am a Texan living between the Dallas Cowboys Andthe Houston Texans inSan Antonio!I am not perfect, but as a Christian I try hard to do what is right.Forgiving others no matter how horrible the things they have done may be is always right according to the Word of GOD!I think that those that dare to sit in judgement of Mike's level of sincerity are doing something that, spiritually speaking, is as terrible as what they are angry at Mike about. They are playing GOD who alone can read the hearts and minds of people. They are dangerous to themselves and to others.Being a Christian keeps me looking at my at my own self.In doing so, I find that I can't be the one that will throw the first stone at a fellow sinner. The scriptures say "ALL have sin and come short of the glory of God".America constantly says she was founded on Christian values(the horrors of slavery, segrgation, discrimination, and the near genocide of the Native Americans makes me question how Christian those founding values really were) and for- giveness is one of those Christian values.I absolutely deplore what Mike did to those dogs, but there are far bigger causes that we need to be fighting.Where is the outrage about so many innocent peole that have been sent to prison due to the misconduct of police and/or prosecutors? Some Spent Many years locked up before DNA exonerated them.Where is the outrage about the atrocities done to humans in Darfur,Sudan, and the Congo? Where is the outrage over so many fellow Americans having inadequat healthcare, or even worse are homeless and sleep outside in the heat of summer and the cold of winter?WHERE is the outrage over the more than Four thousand U.S. and allied troops that have died needlessly in Iraq in a trumped up war based on a lie to the American people. These things are just the tip of the iceburg when I think of the things that deserve our vehement outrage far more than Mike killing dogs. All you that can't forgive Mike please " remember that what goes around comes around"and "the wheel that goes up hill rolls back down hill".I am not a racist, but I am an Observant realist,so I have to wonder If the same level of overwelming hate thrown at Mike would be thrown at Elway, Manning, Staubach, Aikman,Favre, or Montana had they been found guilty of the same offense.I'm so glad GOD is GOD and GOD by the grace offerd through Jesus Christ has forgiven a sinner like me and even if there are people that don' forgive Mike, THE GOOD NEWS is that Jesus Does forgive him.Must of you have been singing all of your lives "Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me".That same grace that saved wretches like you and I can also save a wretch like Mike Vick.Lastly if Jesus could forgive a world that took his innocent life on the painful cross of Calvary then surely Mike can be forgiven by you for the mistreatment and death of some dogs!!!! dogs

I purchased Picking Cotton at the airport, after a business trip to NC. I loved the story, shared it with my book club friends, and I was so happy to hear your report on this remarkable story. Thank you for sharing Ronald and Jennifer with your audience; their grace and honesty are truly admirable. THANK YOU, 60 Minutes!!

Note: I highly recommend the book...the letters Ronald wrote to his attorney are so heartfelt and so moving.

After seeing this story air in March, I watched it replayed in July. I cried like a baby both time's when Ms. Thompson recanted her story of meeting Mr. Cotton in the church to apologize for the mistake she had made. Did anyone else react like this? How in the world did Ms. Leslie maintain her emotions during this scene? Dan...

WOW! Ronald Cotton is a wonderful example of what all of us should exemplify. Forgiveness is nice to receive, and a blessing to give. May God bless him. I pray you air this response.
